The duty of disclosure is a legal and ethical requirement to share all relevant, material facts with another party. It prevents hidden surprises, ensures fairness, and applies across different areas like insurance, civil lawsuits, family law, and criminal prosecution.

Mi believe the weapons that were used were mortars and someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I do think real world weapons can go that far

Oh, artillery can go way way far away especially with modern technology.

Leroy

The artillery of that time had a range of about 25 km, modern artillery can fire up to about 45 km. As for the battle where she started laughing, I think she was just trying to hype herself up for what she had to do. Since there was no other choice but to fight, might as well try to lock in. Hesitation kills you on the battlefield.

RathZa

I think the LN readers will elaborate this further: The switch you mentioned is a cocktail of magical drugs for fighting.

Here it’s so interesting where we see a godlike being. Having a behavior which is so arrogant with such big insecure ego. That he cannot handle someone talking back against him with facts and logic. Where his first response is to make them suffer and try to turn them into a believer. Just to satisfy his own hurt ego. Now does that sounds like a god to you? Because for me that sounds almost more like an entitled crybaby behavior.

Btw the map around the 20 minutes mark of this video. Did showcase Skåne it’s a region of Sweden in our world. That is neighboring Denmark. Also the empire did fire on those soldiers as they were crossing the border of the empire. Military without permission which is how wars starts. Also what the leader and his men of that group of soldiers which did go after Tanya. Said about this was supposed to be a military patrol and excise. Reminded me of 2022 during the Ukraine invasion where the Russian soldiers where told it was a military excise when they started a war by invading another countries border

Honestly, I prefer the way Being X is handled in the novels. Rather than throwing Tania into the parallel world as punishment, they actually take Tania at his word: "Oh, so if you were a girl, born into a non-scientific (ie magical) world, in dire straights, you would believe in your creator? Fascinating. Let's try that." I personally find it more interesting than the spiteful Being X of the anime, even if I understand why they went with it.

Brinkmanship - politically pushing things to the absolute limit (the brink) trying to force the other side to back down. In this case, the other side decided they would do a "training exercise" that crossed the border into the Empire. Since the two sides were already ready to go to war with each other, the Empire took that as an invasion and bombarded them back to the stone age. ECM - electronic countermeasures - radio jamming; it's why her communication with the base was down. Killing the observer - as someone else in the comments pointed out, the artillery could fire as far as 25km away, well beyond line of sight. Without an observer, the artillery would be firing blind, so it wouldn't be able to hit their army.

Also, her internal monologue makes it clear that at least some of it is her trying to show everyone around her how she's a "good, enthusiastic soldier." Tania is a big believer (lol) in signalling theory.

Oh, one other major difference in the light novel: they make it pretty clear early on that Being X is an angel, not capital-G God, so that might be a bit more palatable for the religious among us.

adrenaline is one hell of a drug

I love how in episode 1 the flying things of france was horse armor, and the scandinavians just have skies to fly

He will call it "Beeing X" because he Aknowledges the existence of its powers but not that X fulfill the role of "God". For Tanya, God as a benevolent creator and administrator can't exist in modern world because it would either be a really lazy one (letting war and suffering persists) or God=Devil (only Devil would benefit from not caring) Also Inefficiency is evil for corpo Tanya. Tanya isn't calling it Devil either because if Devil exists then God might too.

Virtuous_Wanderer

It would seem that the guy who reincarnated as Tanya forgot the Golden Rule of being a model employee. Don't make yourself irreplaceable otherwise you are gonna get stuck, and the only way to not be irreplaceable anymore is to make a replacement. Because, you can't just stop doing 110% and expect to move up because, the company is gonna think you got lazy and not promote you... It's a real Catch 22. Until you get where you want to be, only do 100% of what is expected and nothing else even if you are capable of doing more. This is coming from someone who did the 110% at an old job and stagnated because, and this is a real quote from my old General Manager "If only we had another employee like you, we could make you a supervisor for (insert my department here) but, we can't have you stop doing what you are doing" (already running the department basically as a supervisor as a Team Lead they didn't have a supervisory position there yet) before they gave the spot to someone who just barely did their assigned tasks instead of me. I quit about a month later on the spot, and told the GM on my way out that "You ended up losing me entirely while the other guy is burning that department to the ground, hope yall get that sorted. Don't bother calling me for anything less than a supervisory position with a +20% bonus up front." I heard on the grapevine that they ended up firing the other guy, and consolidating that department, losing like 4 million dollars worth of business in the process.

A.D’S_ THE_GREED

So MC really Ragebaited god so bad he said let me reincarn you in one of the toughest time in history bruh

Kurato Wakiru

that little bit at the end there, that Tanya REAL voice. She always put on a deeper voice so people take her more seriously.

Hhound42

8:23 Overlord Easter Egg, the author of Tanya and the author of Overlord are friends and supported each others attempts to get published. Continuing theme in Tanya, her mouth will get her in situations of "dire straits"

ArcaneAnomaly

"What is killing the observer going to do, though?" The observer in this case is used for targeting the artillery. She's able to identify where the enemy is so they can be hit, and she's able to give feedback as to how close artillery is landing, if they need to dial their shots in.

i was kinda imagining the old ones during 1920s ngl

General rule in the military is if you're early you're on time and if you're on time you're late.

steven lady

at around 17:30 when she says you can't be ready 5 minutes before. this had to have been one of the biggest things I learned in the military if you aren't there early you're late. the amount of yelling I remember especially early on in the training over guys not being ready on time. Maybe it was just the marines but damn that was ingrained into me
