Well, he does have two demon lords who are actually friends with him, Milim and Ramiris. And he’s on decent terms with Luminous. He also, grudgingly, took in Dagruels 3 sons. So I think Dagruel may owe him, though they’ve barely interacted. Only at the meeting. Dagruel was the first at the meeting to call Clayman on his BS. But yeah, Deeno wasn’t the one I’d expect to show up out of the blue.

Funny thing, this opening is actually extremely spoiler-heavy. It technically spoils the whole Arc, but it's pretty cryptic if you haven't read the light novel. So it's fine in my book.
