Publishing Plans (Patreon)
Content
Hey all :)
I've had several questions regarding what comes next/what my plans are for publishing (and on patreon), so here we go!
I have officially signed a contract with Simon and Schuster! I don't believe they have announced anything yet, but it is in the works - so, let's keep things between us here for now :) But I wanted to let y'all know.
I'm slated to publish with S&S in December of 2026 - they will have my finished manuscript this summer, and it will be edited and complete by the end of this year. Then, they slate it into their publishing schedule, which (as stated above) is the end of next year (typically about a year after the book is finished being edited).
I can't publish around the window of S&S's novel, so that's been a big player in formulating my publishing plans, and why I haven't really finalized anything (mentally) until everything was settled with them.
(keep in mind, all of this is in my ideal world & assuming nothing terrible happens that waylays my plans. While I would LOVE for all of these plans to come to fruition, I can't guarantee it)
The Hidden Jewel of Holloway - end of 2025/beginning of 2026
This novel is my historical novel (not fantasy), in which two princesses (Emilia Wright & Isabel D'Aleterre) from neighboring countries (on a made up HCLU continent) become betrothed - against their wishes.
I might potentially need to break this story into 2 books, depending on the length. If it's longer than TWW (there is a lot more plot/world building involved), then... it might happen. If so, the second book would be titled The Daring Heart of Dosen.
You might have guessed that the princesses are from countries called Holloway and Dosen.
The Royal We - summer 2026
Starring Gabriella "Brie" D'Aleterre - the youngest princess of the modern-day country from my historical book. She becomes the star of The One - an American reality dating show (you might recognize it as a show that Riley&Gianna and Regan&Emma watch in their books)
Little White Lies (working title) - S&S book - December 2026
Starring Alyssa Burke and Whitney Hart as two English professors at an elite university that have sizzling chemistry.
Royally Screwed - summer 2027
Starring Callista "Callie" D'Aleterre - the current queen, who is struggling under the weight of the world on her shoulders.
The Royal Treatment - end of year 2027/early 2028
Starring Seraphina "Sera" D'Aleterre - the middle sister who has long held her tongue and been the reserved/level-headed sister, mending the bridge between strong-minded and sometimes opposing forces Brie and Callie. It's her time to find herself... and she will be doing that with the help of Audrey Gallagher (Regan's sister).
This would be my IDEAL schedule for publishing.
But I am wondering if I should save starting my modern-royal books until after S&S publishes, so that the S&S book doesn't come out in the middle of my series. So, that might change.
On patreon, I'll be finishing all of my current stories -
Guilty as Sin
I Knew You Were Trouble
The Game Plan
And when those finish, I'll be continuing with more patreon content!
After Guilty as Sin, we will have another poll for a S/C au to explore.
After IKYWT, we will have another poll to determine what other couple will be getting an alternate universe story OR if we want to explore a brand-new tale (maybe Savannah/Marisa from In the Long Run or one of my other unpublished ideas)
After The Game Plan, we will jump into the next next-gen story: Madelyn Thompson, making uncharacteristically questionable choices with the daughter of Charlotte's political rival.
Guilty as Sin will never be published outside of patreon - Midnight Rain is the only other full-length S&C story that will be out in the world of publishing.
I Knew You Were Trouble - on the fence. It would need a lot of editing, given the length of the chapters, and - frankly - if published, I might even change it to not be set in a Midnight Rain universe, and instead set it in a TWW universe. So... this decision will be made years from now.
The Game Plan - I know that there is a lot of support for this to be published, and I very much understand! But the reality is it's a tricky decision. I don't want to publish a young adult novel - but that's exactly what Keeping Score and Settling the Score are. I could, conversely, publish all 3 stories as 1 long novel in three parts - but it will likely be even longer than TWW.
So, Abbie's story very well might be published, once these details are worked out. But the earliest this will possibly happen would be 2028 (unless we go totally rogue and push off my princess series - who knows what person I'll be in a couple of years?)
But the reality is that I don't intend to publish everything that gets posted here (like the au's or any of the monthly chapters), and the stories that will eventually be published - it won't happen until there is more content that I'm writing to take its place - so, a while after pieces are finished. Otherwise, what makes patreon special to subscribe to, you know? :)
For now, this is what I have to offer by way of my publishing plans! Like I said, things might change.
*this is a note regarding patreon subscription - if you subscribed to me via the app store on an apple/ios operating system: you would likely be better off subscribing through a web browser instead. Apple charges a 30% fee/MONTH if you subscribe on their app. So, if you sub here for $10/month, you're likely getting charged even more/month than you would if you subscribed not via the apple store :) (if you subscribe through a web browser or on an android, you will not have this issue!)
