things to note:

this is a 21+ event. I have no control over this, it's a rule at the venue, so there is unfortunately no wiggle room.

PLEASE only purchase in-person tickets if you are committed to attending. I know that emergencies happen, and totally understand that. But tickets are limited (we have 15 all access VIP and 100 to split between general admission and VIP), and there was a waiting list last year for people who were interested but didn't get a ticket.

In the event that you have purchased a ticket and cannot attend - PLEASE do not attempt to resell or give away your ticket to someone else. The ticket you receive upon purchase is not transferable, and the person you send it to will not be able to enter the event. It did happen last year, unfortunately, and the ticket they'd received did not scan through on the app.

If you cannot attend after purchasing a ticket because of an emergency, please message me! I will handle your refund and issue the ticket to someone else that wants to attend :)

Facts you will find on the ticket website, but I'll let you know here as well:

The book everyone attending in-person will be receiving will be a special edition copy of When You Least Expect It. I'm not going to have this book available for sale on my website for the foreseeable future, so it really is a special edition! I'm having a whole cover re-design, and will be buying a limited number of copies

Because this is a special edition/limited edition, I added a ticket type that we didn't have last year, that includes a virtual option with the book. BUT, please note - this is still a pretty small-time event/Monica and myself are managing everything ourselves. So, all shipping and whatnot is going to be done by yours-truly. I tried to make it straightforward on the site, but if you live internationally, please make note of that when you purchase your ticket! It reflects the shipping cost (without the book included, I can send everything in an envelope, and it cuts out a pretty significant expense. But international shipping with the book adds in a whole customs-form-package-shipping-thing)

Last year, we had some glitches with the livestream - this year, we have hired an audio/visual tech person coming to the event to manage mics and the livestream, so the quality should be A+

We will be having the talented narrators (Lori Prince, Quinn Riley, Marisa Calin, Bailey Carr) be doing a live reading and there will be a Q&A/panel - not just with me, but 4 other sapphic authors (I'll be rolling out their announcements in the next couple of months!), who will also be there to chat, mingle, sign/sell books, etc

The all-access VIP experience starts 1 hour earlier than the event time - it's a bagel-brunch hangout with me, Monica, Lori, Quinn, Bailey, Marisa, and our other featured authors

Last year, things went as smoothly as possible, considering it was the first time we'd thrown an event like this and I was - overall - super pleased with it :) I read all of the feedback from the generous people that answered the survey afterwards, and tried to make the changes reflected in the responses for an even better event this year. Better A/V, a larger venue, etc.

If you're a patron, I want to make sure you all have first access, so the tickets will be posted only on here through the weekend. I'll be posting the ticket link to my IG in a couple of days.
