And we're back with this month's CassAsks!

Joining the team of CassAsks this month is Macon Leigh. She graciously gave her time to answer the Q&A during the very month of her debut novel, The Flight Risk.

In case you haven't been on the up and up of sapphic publishing this month, The Flight Risk is an incredible tale of life and fate what what makes a person who they are. Spanning nineteen years - and one really weird week - The Flight Risk is a modern retelling of the red thread of fate, a love story exploring with humor and heart what it means for the universe to conspire for you, despite you.

You can find The Flight Risk on amazon here! (do it, you won't regret it)

Macon has become a staple contributor to our sapphic romance world in the last year, not only publishing her book, but also cohosting a podcast focusing on sapphic art (with interviews with authors, and so much more), which you can find here.

On a personal note, I consider Macon a friend and a very talented human being. She's also a very generous human being - if any of you follow her on socials already, she made boxes for The Flight Risk's debut, and was generous enough to give me an extra box to give to someone here!

To possibly win the box, comment on this post with your favorite sapphic romance you read this summer! I will let the winner know via message this Saturday.

This sounds like an Interesting book. This is added to my to read list ☺️. As for my Favorite Sapphic Romance I read this summer, Well I'm currently rereading Those who wait again, since it's my comfort book, and I lost Choni last week so I needed the comfort. But If I forget about you, I read State of grace and it was a very cute Romance, it's very hard to chose one book from all the ones I read in the summer, but I would say this one was my favorite

Absolutely looking forward to reading it! I'm not gonna lie, my favourite novel this summer was "Those Who Wait". I read it for the first time back in May and have read it a few more times ever since (plus I also listen to its audiobook version through the wonderful voice of Lori Prince) once or twice per day because it's my comfort place. I go to C & S everytime I want to feel some warmth

I am in the middle of the Flight Risk now and am LOVING it. ❤️💔. Also, loving her new podcast!

Favorite Sapphic Romance this summer… I’m going to list 3 and risk being disqualified: 1. Down to a Science (cuz I only started having free time starting this year to discover sapphic romance novels and the HCU.) 2. Tapping into Love - Monica McCallan (totally the wrong season for it but omg the story was so freaking cute) 3. Scatter - Molly Bragg (currently reading this and pleasantly surprised that I like it. It’s not my typical genre but my heart ~)

Favorite book this summer is a series- the Carlisle Series. Ice Queen meets her equal Julie. I love Julia’s spunk and grown up world view. This years happy place!!

Jordan Mercadante

A Life Worth Living by Monica McCallan had me in a chokehold. I have The Flight Risk on my tbr list and I’m super excited for it!

Cora Linehan

I got on a little kick of gay teacher romances and Adrian J. Smith's INSIDE THESE HALLS really worked for me: higher angst than I usually go for but I really liked the central couple

Betsy Walker

I don’t know if I can pick a favorite but my most recent (that wasn’t by Haley because I feel like that’s cheating) was passing through by Katia Rose. I would recommend it to others so I’m going to count it

I got so excited I forgot to read the whole post. 😆. I’ve read a lot of wonderful books this summer but my three favorites have been Poppy Jenkins (Clare Ashton), The Flaw in our Design (Monica McCallan 😊) and The Flight Risk (Macon Leigh). All three are books that I would return to over and again and that are special enough to buy copies to add to my real life bookshelf. 📚😍

Jess Bullock

I just read this and its my fav pic too! Such a good book

Passing Through by Katia Rose was my favorite this summer although I read a lot of good books! (yours included as I just stumbled upon Those Who Wait a mere month ago

I enjoyed ‘Scarlet’ (2nd book in 2bk series) by Claire Highton-Stevenson and Melissa Brayden’s ‘Marigold’. But I most enjoyed, ‘The Flight Risk’ -it was really really good. A good cry was had.
