Cryptid

We have a lot of Grinch decor because it’s one of our favorite holiday movies. I love all of that and my Mickey Mouse train. It doesn’t run on a track but will navigate as it touches things around the living room. 🚂

Hana Huskovic

We love our Grinch, Max and Cindy Lou figurines that my wife and son love

Jordan Wieme

I have a nice little collection of cute nutcrackers and I love fun ornaments in the tree, Christmas lights and hanging mistletoe in the doorway to sneak a kiss from my honey every so often

Alex L

I have a thing for dishware. I love bringing out my holiday mugs and plates and cookie jars!

Sonia

I love the little villages that people have set up in their homes

Miranda

My favorite decoration is my mom’s collection of Santas! Haha I used to sit in the living room and count the number of Santas she had around the house. 😂

Mary Swangin

My favorite is the big Christmas Village my wife and I set up every year. (We just added a little ice rink!) I think we have some of the same pieces that you do. 😆

Jess Bullock

I love our tree. We started a tradition a few years ago that anytime we go somewhere we get an ornament. So every year we see our memories all over the tree. We've got ornaments from our holidays at universal Orlando down to every time we have gone to a zoo or aquarium. I love it!

Jess Bullock

Coffee tastes better in holiday mugs. It's just science

kassandra gravel

For me it's something my grandmother homemade. It was a chimney with Santa's head coming out. It was made of styrofoam and the color was made of little silk paper balls that she stocked one by one to make the design

Court Hanson

A long time ago, we had Snow White and the Seven Dwarves ceramic dolls we would bring out. I loved them. It was so cool.

Betsy Walker

We have a little Santa countdown decoration that my siblings and I would always fight over who gets to move him down every day. He climbs down a little chimney

Kelsee

My mom’s home made wreath with shimmering color changing ribbon, that can no longer be found.

Eabha

We have this little ice-skating rink. It has little people that are magnetic and inside is a rotating disc, I think, that makes them move about and ice-skate. It used to play music too but that broke a few years ago. Its handmade and really pretty.

Lauren N.

My target birds! I’m getting worried I have too many already but I love having them all over the living room.

Nicole P.

My favorite are the stockings! So simple yet I love how each family member’s looks next to each other & how each one has a different design & it’s always perfect for their personalities! (Plus stocking stuffer gifts are always the most fun)

Deanna Hauck 🏳️‍🌈

When me and my sisters were very young my mom used to make a little sleigh and attached reindeer got a Santa, the works! We loved it! Fast forward a few years and we found out what she actually did was after Thanksgiving she took any leftover meat off the turkey as usual. Then she took the carcass, boiled it to clean it, painted it red, and there it was Santa’s sleigh. We were horrified! But it’s still a damn good story we laugh about at holidays and dammit it really did look great, lol. My mom’s family was pretty poor so my GMA got creative with LOTS of things and we love the stories.

Sophia Barrett

My favorite holiday decoration would have to be fake snow that you can place on a counter or window decal snowflakes!

Liam Lintemuth

Honestly my family wasn’t religious so we always did snowmen…

Andy Howland

My favorite holiday decoration is the nativity scene glitter globe. It lights up and pieces of glitter get blown around inside. I think it looks really nice

Amy

I’m a sucker for vintage Christmas decorations, they bring out feelings of nostalgia. My favorite is a tabletop ceramic tree made by my mom in ceramics class, probably 40 years ago. It’s painted green with white snow at the end of the branches, is lit with multi-color bulbs and topped with a yellow star. I have it now and and every time I see it lit up, I’m reminded of my mom and childhood Christmases🎄

Chris

Mistletoe… so since joining this platform I’ve been wanting to share so many thoughts ( Never had a outlet to do so) so while Haley is writing Midnight Rain I have vignettes about TWW and will forever be dreaming about all the missing stories from their life. There is a Senate big wig Christmas Party. The song Underneath the Mistletoe by Kelly Clarkson and Brett Eldridge is playing. Sutton is moving slightly to the music, Charlotte is trying to escape some boring politician, and keeps looking over at Sutton. Charlotte finally reaches Sutton “ darling, dance with me”. The two grab everyone’s attention as they hit the dance floor and end with a searing kiss… under the mistletoe. I’m making the movie in my head lol. Listen to the song and you’ll see it too.

Brittany Stevens

My Christmas village but mine is Harry Potter themed and my gnome Christmas tree topper my mom made me. 😊

Kayla Carlson

Probably all of the ridiculous stockings I have hanging up for my pets (3 cats and a dog)

Jenna McMichael

My wife and I have a leg lamp from A Christmas Story shining in our front window. It's her favorite Christmas movie, and she was so excited when we bought it, but it was even better the next year when we were getting the Christmas decorations out of the garage and she asked what was in the box marked "FRAGILE". She'd completely forgotten we had it, and I got to see the look of pure glee on her face as she opened the box!🥰

E

Colorful lights around my TV!

Tiffany Wells

Love the tree! I have the same Taylor cardigan ornament! My family has always collected Radko ornaments and now we have continued with mostly Santa’s and snowmen!

Liz

My favorite Christmas decoration and tradition began the year DOMA was struck down with getting married and a personalized couple's 1st Christmas ornament. Each year since our 1st Christmas, our holiday tree becomes a living testament to the love and memories my wife and I shared as a couple. From our first ornament as a married couple to another one each year commemorating big things, dream trips and cherished memories, our tree tells the story of our journey together. Each ornament reflects not only the year's theme for our family but also the growth of our love and size of our family. Every year when we get the tree up and the box of ornaments out, we look at the inscriptions on the front and handwritten on the back as we listen to Christmas songs and It's heartwarming to go down memory lane, to see how our family of furbabies has expanded over the years, their playful spirits captured in the ornaments hanging from the branches. From the joyous moments to the passing of a beloved furbaby, each year's ornament holds a piece of my and my wife's shared history together. As a lesbian queer couple, love is uniquely beautiful, and our tree stands with all our personalized ornaments as a symbol of the diversity and richness that love brings into our lives. I'm grateful for every moment we've shared and every ornament that graces our tree, making it a canvas of our journey. They are my favorite holiday decoration.

MC

The Latin Christmas nativity

Amy

My collection of vintage looking sweet treat ornaments!

Sarah S.

I have this Santa figure my great-grandma made with doilies and starch, probably 40-50 years ago. It belong to her, then my grandma, and now comes out each year my wife and I decorate our house.

Jen Fernandez

Adorable pics! My favorite decoration as a kid was bubble lights and if you don’t know what those are that just means I'm old lol I also like this creepy little elf my mom got from her grandma and still puts on the tree. I think I like it so much because it absolutely creeps my sister out to the point my mom will take random pictures of it and then tag my sister on Facebook lol

Lexi Le

My wife and I started collecting different ornaments separately. My wife has collected the Frosty Friends ornaments since she was a child. I have an eclectic collection of glass ornaments that represents that year (with my prized ornament being the 2004 World Series Red Sox break the curse). Soon enough we will have to be selective about which ones to hang up. Our 4 year old daughter has started her own ornament collection. She has a paw patrol collection... And they sing. I may accidentally pop out the batteries one evening.

Marilia Brocchetto

Our dog walker takes photos of our dogs during every walk. At the end of the year, she picks two of her favorite photos and has them printed on an ornament for our tree. We have been collecting them for 5+ years now. It's so cute to see their evolution!

Janet

My Charlie Brown Christmas tree!

Bethany

My grandparents passed down some of their old holiday coffee mugs and it is always so fun to get them out and use them during this time of year. They are amazing, some more terrifying than others, vintage Santa is not for the faint of heart. I'm sure they are probably painted with lead paint or something toxic but non the less they are extremely special!

Shelley S.

My favorite holiday decoration is a an old Christmas mug that my grandmother had. She’d designate a Christmas mug for every grandchild, but they remained at her house during the holidays. When she passed away, we each got our mug to keep with us. I cherish it. I drink hot chocolate out of it at least once every Christmas season, but I’m too afraid of it breaking to use it more often. I leave it on a shelf where I look at it often.

Lex F

A few years ago, I was super stressed around Christmas. My wife and I were living in an awful apartment and trying to find a new place before the new year. I couldn't even think of decorating with so much going on. I came home from work one day to a pineapple decorated with ornaments and sunglasses. My wife was so proud of herself and it really did help bring some lightness to an otherwise stressful time. It's now my favorite decoration to recreate each year.

Cat Crittenden

I have a hand painted ceramic Santa that is about 3 feet tall made by my grandmother

Haleigh Heyne

I’m not huge on decorations but, maybe my ‘tis the damn season welcome mat? I pretty much just let my kids control what decorations we have. My main contribution is TS ornaments that I have to keep up so they don’t break them.

Liz Hendrick

I don't spend a ton of time home during the holiday season (balancing two families between my fiancée and I and my family has so many birthdays throughout very end of November-December 26th). Growing up though my favorite decoration was this Santa that read Christmas stories to you, and a staple at my grandmother's was the countdown to xmas that you put an ornament on a small tree as a way of counting down.

Morgan Kings

A parachuting Santa purchased from Grocery Outlet ten years ago. It somehow moves around the room when you're not looking...

Denise

My favourite holiday decoration is, ummm all of them!!! I love Christmas waaay too much! I have every tree ornament from my first Christmas to this day. My Christmas village is also pretty awesome too!

Angie Bobinger

My favorite holiday decoration are the tree ornaments we collect every year that commemorate a milestone in our marriage and life, or places we have been that stand out such as our very first trip across the pond to London, and when we got our very loving fur babies. I hope in the years to come our ornaments consist mainly of our life accomplishments 💜

Dani Seneca

I’m a sucker for all the Christmas lights. It doesn’t matter if it’s white, or multi-colored, or one solid color. I love seeing all the houses in lights, or just my mantle or tree

Noelle

Our Christmas ornaments! My mom basically has made ornaments of all us kids over the years. I made some for the doggies so now they’re proudly hanging up there too 🥹

Mostly Amy

Ooo favorite Christmas decoration would be the Lego Christmas train that goes around the Christmas tree. I built it a few years ago. And every year one of the kids brakes it. But luckily I can usually put it back together.

Josiah Dapper

I have a lovely menorah that was gifted to me by a friend from her father. He had brought it back from Israel and was very taken with the fact that I had converted to Judaism. Since my family isn’t Jewish, it is my only piece of Judaica that has a family history, so I really love it.

Court

A friend of mine started a tradition where she would send a Christmas ornament that represented what my kids were for Halloween that year. I continued to do that every year so now when we decorate the tree we can remember all the different Halloween costumes they wore through the years. It's funny to see the changes as the boys grow-- from paw patrol characters and animal costumes to darth vader and the grim reaper.

Kaci

My grandmother's ornaments on my tree are some of my favorites, but also my friendship bracelet Christmas garland!

Stella Johnson

The hallmark singing snowmen collection are my favourite, I love them and they make the holiday feel special! :)

Sarah Watts

Our FRIENDS and Taylor Swift ornaments are our favorites. Also the ornaments of our dogs. We have 2 trees this year because my wife is a travel nurse so we’re living in 2 houses right now (not separately) which I guess is pretty unique to us

Haley Cass

omg that is devastating! My fingers are crossed that you'll be able to find it again

Haley Cass

amazing taste when it comes to that ornament!

Haley Cass

I have several TS ornaments myself (many that were not featured in pics!) as well as a tis the damn season shirt... so I think you're making some good contributions to those decorations! Also, kids have so much fun with it, so I think you're making a good call

Haley Cass

I freaking love the idea of that santa reading stories

Haley Cass

that is such an incredible way to be able to look back through the memories with your family!

Haley Cass

I have a FRIENDS ornament (not pictured) as well!

Haley Cass

that lego train is freaking awesome!

Celestia Nightane

My mom has these ceramic houses covered in snow she puts on the mantle, and we can put a small candle inside, it doesn't feel like Christmas until these are put on. Also, a small Santa hanged on the ceiling with his small parachute

Camille C.

This is probably already over but the question reminded me of my mom's old ceramic santa sleigh centerpiece, it came as 3 parts and held 12 candles and we left it after moving to a different country, she also had this really beautiful snow globe at the center of our coffee table every year, it was a pretty big one that had an old english town and when you turned it on the windows would light up it always reminded me of how magical christmas felt like as a kid
