"I refuse to eat an unborn animal. I'm going to keep this egg safe and warm and secure until it hatches out into the world. And THEN I'm gonna eat it." - Philip J. Fry

When Leela makes her Planet Express pals eat healthy, Fry becomes the proud papa to a new beast that hatches from a farm-fresh egg. But when Farnsworth reveals Mr. Peppy's deadly disposition, the crew releases him on a distant planet and ends up in a whole bunch of broad, Scottish trouble.

Talking Futurama gets me through my work day, I love when they get released!

Dersu Uzala is apparently a Kurosawa film (I’ve never heard of it) but that would fit with Yojimbo and Rashomon

Talking Simpsons

I am embarrassed to say I was unaware of Kurosawa’s Soviet, Russian language film. I apologize for my failure to my fellow video store snobs - Henry

It’s fun hearing John DiMaggio doing his Scotsman voice, I cannot help but think of him in Samurai Jack. It’s even more fun hearing his Samurai Jack co-star Phil LaMarr doing a Scottish accent as well.

THE DARK CRYSTAL MENTIONED !!!!!!

1. This episode has some of the worst Scottish accents I've ever heard. 2. Dersu Uzala is definitely one of the more obscure Kurosawa films. Basically your typical "colonialist befriends wise and noble native" story, based on a real person. 3. Re. Cinemax- Banshee is genuinely very entertaining. A bit edgelordy as was the style at the time, but amazing fight choreography, and a fun, violently OTT comic book feel. If you like "The Boys", check it out!

Please tell me y'all have read Knights Of The Dinner Table! I started playing AD&D in 1999 when I was 19 with old schoolers and that comic book on was so on the nose it was creepym

Martin Quinn is the first Scot to play Scotty on Strange New Worlds

Bob, if you find yourself at the Rochester, NY airport, you can have a Garbage Plate. It works on multiple levels.

Scottish people are also British. Simon Pegg is English and also British. Welshy was also British, probably, if he wasn't Canadian

My Temple Of Doom gripe: The airplane they escape in is a Ford Tri-Motor, which has a fuel range of roughly 550 miles. They take off from Shanghai and their first stop (according to the map) is Chongqing. That is 1000 miles away! Are you telling me they managed to fly twice the distance it was able to? I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.

I think Zoidberg is actually supposed to be following up the sign of the cross with the Macarena. I guess it was difficult to draw him doing the last moves (putting his hands on his waist) while he is sitting down, so it may not have been very clear.

Oh, and cigars are totally a woman thing now. Just ask JK Rowling. (Kids, don’t ask JK Rowling…. anything. And don’t read Harry Potter).

I have two small comments, both food related. First, I wanted Henry to know that he is free to eat as many McDonald's French fries as he wants and not have to worry about his cholesterol; because cholesterol is only found in animal-based fats, not plant-based ones. So until McDonald's goes back to their old beef tallow recipe, their fries remain cholesterol-free. Secondly, although it is just a joke about Amazonian women having super-strength, as a Vermonter I feel the need to remind everyone that maple syrup does NOT come directly out of the tree as syrup. It comes out as clear sap that is almost identical to water other than being just ever so slightly sweet. It then has to be boiled to reduce down to syrup, the average ratio being about 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup. Sap can also only be gathered in the spring, when temperatures average above freezing during the day, and below freezing at night. I don't want to entirely blame Stardew Valley for making large swaths of people incorrectly think syrup comes directly out of the tree, but...Yeah I'm going to blame Stardew Valley.

Scottish Sniper is likely a pun for Scottish Piper!
