There has to be a generation of people who got into They Might Be Giants through their appearance in Homestar Runner.

Bagged milk forever!

Whatever Henry is paying his therapist it's not enough

I recall Dino from The Flintstones sounding like Phil Silvers. Or am I just thinking of Top Cat?

Thad Komorowski

He does in "The Snorkasaurus Hunter", that first season episode nobody likes and doesn't fit into any continuity (since Dino was already in at least one episode before it, acting as he usually does).

It's a shame the Homer/Marge conflict is so ugly because otherwise this is a really funny episode. I laughed the whole way through.

Ooh, are we complaining about Cybertruks? Almost every day I visit a convenience store/deli/gas station half a mile from my job that has a row of Tesla chargers so I often have my eyes molested by multiple Cybertruks a day.

Right, just the fact that he was on that Titanic submersible tells me has more than one singular million

Bob Mackey

Unfortunately he blew all of his money on suicide subs

It made me laugh when you were discussing googling your names; as someone with an incredibly common name in the English language, it assures some sense of anonymity in a world that makes it increasingly easier to find anyone. It creeped me out when friends and family would search their names and you would get a direct link to a profile or even a full picture of their face.

My dad outranks me in google but that’s only because he is always getting arrested for public disturbance and I’ve accomplished nothing of note

The Cyprus Split is referring to the post-colonial split of the Eastern Mediterranean Island from the British Empire. The ethnographic Greek side to the South launched a military coup to gain independence from the British, however the North of the Island is typically a more ethnographic Turkish population (the island sits between the two countries) which led to a similar Turkish backed invasion and revolt to split the island which it has remained to this day since 1974. The UN acknowledges the Greek side as Cyprus but the Turkish side is only acknowledged by Turkey.

Not telling you what to do, but early pre-orders/sales really do make a difference with physical media. Take pleasure that you helped send the right message with your early purchases. (Except Criterion, whose devotion to film preservation and restoration meant laying off their entire restoration staff.) These things also tend to have crazy limited print runs, so you might not be able to get it later if you're waiting for a sale.

The way couples split finances is always so interesting to me. I have a friend who shares all his accounts with his wife, which he does as a way to encourage him to be responsible, and that works for them really well. My wife and I have a combination of individual and shared accounts that we use for different things. We don't keep track of each other's spending at all since we both view our money as combined, anyway. We discuss our individual spending occasionally but just expect that we'll be reaponsible.

I live in SoCal and see a disgusting amount of Cybertrucks on a *daily* basis 😮‍💨. So often that it's became too much of a hassle to keep flipping them off. And yes, a good percentage of them are literally just billboards for whatever crappy business they have. It's good to know which ones to avoid, however

Moments after pouring a delicious glass of bagged milk for my son, I am joining the chorus of Canadian families that have consumed bagged milk their entire lives. I asked my friend today how he drank milk as a kid and he said "Bagged of course". In grocery stores, it's laid out on the bottom of the milk section.

Henry, you most definitely were not wearing your Krusty fishing hat when my daughter and I saw you on the streets of San Francisco after the Chapo 2020 live show at the Presidio. She yelled out “Henry!” like a fangirl, and you turned and looked at us like we were crazy then hurried along on your way. You made our night!

Growing up my mother watched Lifetime constantly and while I agree crime podcasts have taken over, I disagree with your reason for watching. I can't help but feel there's some deeper sickness under the surface, primarily because my mother was pretty unstable at times. So whenever I happen upon a woman, (and it's NEVER a man, not even once), obsessed with crime/horror I find myself immediately on edge around them. It's one thing to enjoy it as part of a variety of genres, but hyper focusing on serial killing? It's unsettling. And if any women are offended by this, replace the addicted with men and obsession with porn. If a guy watches it all the time, buys porn, etc. They can list porn stars like women could serial killers. It too is unsettling. People are weirdos.

Quick FYI, yes the bird turkey is indeed the namesake of the country despite being native to North America. This is because Europeans first encountered guineafowl from sub-Saharan Africa by way of Turkey. Although not actually related, the birds appeared similar enough they took on the name.
