Welcome to fall, you lovely subscribers to the Talking Simpsons Network! Whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving this month or just enjoying the November air, it's another big month at Patreon.com/TalkingSimpsons! Weekly new podcasts of Talking Simpsons and What A Cartoon! Every Friday a new Talking Futurama until the end of the year that's exclusive to Patreon! And tons more surprises coming your way, PLUS our usual premium podcast, What A Cartoon Movie!!

As we've done for over a year now, November will feature a brand new movie podcast released exclusively for our $10+ Patreon subscribers, and you get to vote on what it'll be! Additionally, our $5 patrons are given the opportunity to vote as well because we want you to have a voice in the polls just in case you later upgrade to listen to our great backlog of movie podcasts.

Because DisneyPlus launches this month (and because we've yet to do a film by this studio), we've got four different Pixar films to choose from! Your choices from Pixar's first era of films are:

Toy Story, the 1995 film that brought Pixar international fame and gave CGI animation worldwide exposure

A Bug's Life, 1998's sophomore effort from Pixar that told the story of insects learning the power of united labor

Monsters, Inc., the 2001 CGI hit that envisioned fright as fossil fuels in the hands of Boo's adoptive parents, Sully and Mike

Finding Nemo, 2003's aquatic adventure of grief, helicopter parents, and brain damage that taught us that fish are friends, not food

So please, cast your vote soon and help us decide on which of these will be made available to our $10 folks before the end of November. You have until the end of November 9 (Pacific Time) to vote! Thanks again so much for your support!!!

I will update my pledge if Toy Story is chosen!

Cody C.

Clearly A Bug’s Life is winning this poll

Frank Grimes

Gotta go with the one that started it all...To infinity and beyond!

Brian Hortin

Going with Bug’s Life for the associated Jeffrey Katzenbug drama even with the unfortunate voice of Hopper.

TomP

Went Monsters Inc sorry but already heard a really good Toy Story podcast this year already and the others don’t interest me

Matt Deakin

If you guys do Toy Story I'll give you your $10 😁

So Many Bits

Toy Story felt so obvious I threw a pity vote for Finding Nemo haha... I think in terms of business dealings, it would be really neat if you got to Ratatouille in the future what with all the drama between Pixar and Disney around then.

etc etc

Bug's Life feels like it could be the most interesting because it has been the least discussed.

Chris K

As much as I'd love you to talk about all of these, they're all equally great, and for your first Pixar movie it really has to be Toy Story. There's no other choice. It just fits!

Alan M.

If Bug’s Life is chosen they should also have to watch the Three Amigos. It’s the same exact story.

ShyRanger

If Toy Story wins you guys have got to talk about the original cut that was unfun garbage. There is a documentary about Pixar in Netflix, it’s not good IMO, but one of the few cool things was learning how close Toy Story to being a massive failure.

To Boldly Joe... Moore

You can't really discuss any of the others without covering Toy Story first. ^_^

John-Charles Holmes

On one hand you get the awesome origins of Pixar with Toy Story but c'mon people, A Bugs Life is the first fired shots of the Disney DreamWorks war!

Eric Chrisman

My pick would be Bug's Life but since Kevin Spacey is in it mayyybbee I'm also ok with it not winning...

Harry Thornton

I'm with everyone here when I say Toy Story is the one to go with, its sheer importance is too much to ignore. And as a mega, MEGA Pixar geek I especially hope you guys dig deep with the research here, because there's a ton of great stories about the making of it that a lot of people don't know about. For example? JOSS WHEDON was brought in to help rewrite the script after the infamous 'Black Friday' incident.

Rudy De La Torre

I did Finding Nemo because there's already that Pixar documentary that covers a bunch of the Toy Story story so I hope if Toy Story wins they find an angle that isn't touched upon by the Pixar doc

Alex Irish

We’ve got a friend in Toy Story
