One of my all time favorites to watch. Its sad it never got to finish the story. 😭

I know you guys said you aren't talking at all about Guardian Code, the sequel series, but I NEED to bring up how much of a train wreck it ended up as. Here are four things that basically sum up that series and what it represents. 1. The main showrunner named the main character after his son, admitting the only reason was so that his son would like it. 2. Despite Reboot being a series well known in Canada, Guardian Code was not available on Canadian Netflix, still may not be. 3. This sequel basically has brand new characters all around, but finally had an episode to "celebrate" the old series, which basically ended up highlight one obsessed fan (with all the negative stereotypes) and that was basically it. 4. When this show finally released, a number of employees immediately tweeted all their grievances about how much of a wreck this show was, and how controlling the showrunner was. They expressed that anyone with interest in Reboot should not watch and support this show, and if they HAD to watch just for curiosity, wait a few months so Netflix would not analyze it.

I'd seen this show on YTV a fair bit as a kid, but was never really a fan of it per se - it was just on enough before or between other shows I wanted to watch that I sat through a lot of it as a young kid. Revisiting it as an adult is... very bizarre. I recognized that the opening to this episode was a 007 parody pretty quickly, but was still left wondering what the hell was happening. The voice acting is really good but the show itself is not the easiest to watch and I don't think I'd really check out more of it in the future. Maybe starting from the beginning would make me feel differently but who knows.

A couple years ago I walked into a bar only to see the grim visage of Megabyte up on one of the TVs. We ended up walking right out because, how can anyone look at Reboot while they're eating?

It's always a pleasure when my two favorite podcasts cross over with each other.

I just can't do this show, and never could even when it was new. It just always looked terrible to me and it wasn't something I was able to look past. Normally I can as I think a lot of the Netflix animated shows (BoJack Horseman, Big Mouth, F is For Family) can be hard on the eyes, but I can watch and enjoy many of them anyway. Even another 90s CG show that I did like all right in Beast Wars I was able to get past when it came to cruddy visuals. Reboot is just where my brain draws the line I guess.

Haven't had the chance to listen to the episode yet, but my first impression on seeing this on the feed is that it's weird that you picked an episode from the very serialized season 3 rather than one of the more standalone episodes of 1 and 2?

I know this is over a month and a half late, but the RC car PC game Woolie is thinking of is Re-Volt. Also, love Reboot, have it all on DVD, watched it on Toonami back in the day.
