Rice making birds explode or otherwise hurting them is a debunked myth

Regarding the sprinkles, we call them hundreds and thousands here in the UK too. Jimmies is such an odd name for them!

Talking Simpsons needs more Otto impressions!!

Also with the Moe scene, I was wondering if the joke was that he brought eight presents to this stranger's wedding or if he was just stealing them since the wedding was off.

wow, did they actually pay for a limp bizkit song!? this is amazing. im a simp for the limp but never noticed the audio until it was isolated

In the north east, Sprinkles and Jimmies are not the same thing. Sprinkles are usually colored, and the most popular is just the rainbow variety. The term Jimmies is reserved exclusively for the chocolate variety of sprinkles. If you order ice cream and request Jimmies, that's what you'll get, though if you ask for "chocolate sprinkles" no one is going to look at you as if you have two heads or anything. They're still predominantly sugar and I honestly do not know if there is actual chocolate in them, but that's how it's always been in this region, as far as I know.

Talking Hands that Rocks the Cradle, Julianne Moore is a scene-stealing supporting role, but isn't the mom. The mom is Annabella Sciorra, Gloria from the Sopranos.

I went to one of those frozen yogurt places recently and they had little prepackaged plastic containers of the various toppings out where the open containers usually are. So they’ve figured something out, although it is admittedly much less fun.

Filming people in the bathroom and trying to kill someone for content; Bart really was a Twitch streamer ahead of his time.

There's a weiners schnitzel in Alameda still I think

This episode was indeed the start of Nelson’s “stop hitting yourself” runner. We’ll see it especially rise around season 13 with other permutations

Dudes. How the FUCK could you leave out Moleman’s appearance!? “Oh, I thought I made a friend!”

This episode seems that it starts tthe Marge being the designated victim of the show no matter what she did. you notice that they make a big deal about Homer accepting Lisa's choices but brush off the fact that Marge never does.

I don’t think I ever realized that Der Wienerschnitzel was a real place. I only really knew of it from Krusty’s joke about Winston Churchill eating there in “Last Temptation of Krust.”

I honestly feel this is very much in the wheelhouse of those preceding toxic duds. For a Marge gaslighting story to work, you’ve got to establish that the family genuinely loves her. And this absolutely fails at that, so the conclusion lands a stone cold blow.

As fun as the episode is and as memorable quotes it has; I do think it follows the Season 11 curse of just such a shrug-worthy, led zepplin ending. Although I realize they made Becky say she was actually a usurper so Marge wouldn't look crazy; that makes this entire episode lack some major cohesion. You can definitely do some fun episodes where Marge is the butt of the joke but this eventually leads to nowhere.

Martha Stewart had a house near where I grew up and my parents disliked her for different reasons then most. She was apparently a very shitty neighbor and there was constant gossip about how awful she was to live near. Famous curmudgeon Charles Grodin however? Very boring to live near.

When this aired I commented on the Conan parody, and everyone else was all "What?" and acted like i had made that up. But I agree that this episode gets a bad rap due to its position in the Kid Rock season.

W/ the "Wedding Profile Pic" thing, I'd cut some slack for the ones who wed JUST before all the 2020 happened.
