Hey everyone, how's it going?

This past Saturday, I ran an Exalted session with my players. The session was wonderful, the modules worked well, with only minor bugs that didn't get in the way... with one exception.

NARRATOR'S JUKEBOX.

I had so many problems with the module. I already knew the dialogs would be broken, but I didn't expect the player experience to have issues too. When playing a playlist, after a while two tracks would start playing simultaneously. The volume widget wasn't working properly for players. Some of these problems forced me to restart the server a few times (or my players had to F5)... and that impacts the session. It was still a GREAT session, but it wasn't perfect, because of a problematic module.

I spent a good part of the weekend and the last few days working hard on it. Thanks to your help, I believe we finally have a stable version!

Because we needed extensive testing to ensure these severe issues were squashed, I made v3.0.8 available for free for a few days. Thank you to everyone who downloaded it, tested it, and sent feedback on Discord. Your help was invaluable. Now that we've reached a stable version that enhances our games instead of disrupting them, the free open-testing period is concluding, and the module is returning to being a benefit for our active supporters.

Here is the full breakdown of everything we fixed to get here:

v3.0.5

Fix: Phantom audio in playlists - Event listeners are now properly cleaned up before track transitions, preventing ghost tracks from playing simultaneously.

Fix: Player volume widget - Player volume now persists across track changes instead of resetting to the GM's volume every time.

Fix: Next button stuck on last track - Manual Next now always wraps around to the beginning.

Fix: Hook listener accumulation - Added guards to prevent duplicate Hook registrations on reloads.

Fix: Dialog styling on Foundry V13 - Dialogs now properly receive their CSS classes, fixing broken visuals.

v3.0.6 (hotfix)

Fix: Mini Mode and Micro Mode broken visuals - CSS scoping was missing for compact window modes, causing unstyled content. Thanks to the community for catching this one fast!

v3.0.7 (hotfix)

Fix: Mood Board Editor scroll - Cards were being compressed instead of scrolling; the editor now scrolls properly with full-sized cards.

Fix: Seek/rewind sync - When the GM scrubs the progress bar, players now follow to the same position instead of desyncing.

v3.0.8 (hotfix)

Fix: Phantom audio during shuffle + rapid skip - Added play generation guard to prevent concurrent audio from stacking up when toggling shuffle and skipping quickly. Huge thanks to GunpowderLullaby for the detailed repro steps!

Fix: Player not hearing music on join - Players joining mid-session now correctly start playback with their own saved volume preference.

Fix: Soundboard play/stop icon not updating - The button now properly toggles between play and stop icons to reflect the actual playback state.

How to Install

Remove your current version of Narrator's Jukebox from your modules folder.

Download the .zip file attached below.

Extract it into your Foundry Data/modules/ folder.

Important: Make sure the extracted folder is named exactly narrator-jukebox.

Restart Foundry and enable the module.

That's it. Thank you so much... for everything.

Not sure how to make a suggestion or provide feedback. Love what I see so far.... but is there a way to tie your ambience/music/sound effects to a given scene so that the ambience and music auto-start when the scene is loaded and the effects are auto-keyed up? This is sort of the way the stock ambience works. I ask because I'd rather set up ambient and music ahead of time and then just have it auto play so I don't have to micro-manage it at game time.
