Hey everyone!
Continuing our "bug-squashing pass" to prepare for the big MapForge grind, the next module on the list is Narrator Jukebox. This update focuses on making the library management smoother and fixing those annoying audio sync issues that some of you reported.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I’m prioritizing these fixes now across all premium modules so that everything is stable and polished. Once this cycle is done, I’ll be diving deep into the MapForge mega-update, which will be my main focus for a good while!
💡 Pro-Tip: Use Google Chrome
If you want the best experience with Narrator Jukebox, I highly recommend using Google Chrome. The module’s architecture relies on some advanced audio features that Chrome handles much better. Many small issues - especially some that pop up in Firefox - simply don't exist when running on Chrome.
What’s New in v3.1.5
Better Library Management: Folder selection is now much smarter, and bulk imports are significantly faster when you're adding large music collections.
Player Volume Controls: Added a persistent global volume control for ambience layers, so players have better mastery over their own audio mix.
Audio Polish: Music volume scaling now feels more natural with finer control at low levels, and I’ve fixed the stuttering that could happen with repeated YouTube switches or sound effects.
Sync & Fixes: Fixed the issue where ambience sounds would keep playing for players after the GM stopped them, and resolved the "eye icon" bug for hiding tracks from players.
How to Install
To ensure the update applies correctly without any old file conflicts, please follow these steps:
Remove your current narrator-jukebox folder from your modules directory.
Download the .zip file attached to this post.
Extract it into your Foundry Data/modules/ folder.
Important: Ensure the extracted folder is named exactly narrator-jukebox.
Restart Foundry and enable the module.
I'm moving on to SessionFlow next to wrap up this maintenance round. Thank you all for the incredible support and for keeping the bug reports coming on Discord!
Happy gaming!
