Hey everyone!

MapForge 1.2.1 is a small update, but an important one for something new I'm releasing later today. That new module needed a few changes to how it works with MapForge, and this update gets those pieces in place. I'm really excited to finally show you what I've been working on.

What's changed

Ready-made interactive objects. Other modules can now add objects directly to your MapForge library, marked with an "Interactive" label. Their library entries update when the module does.

More controls right on the map. These objects can offer different looks and behaviors, editable text, and controls for the whole scene, such as lighting every torch at once.

Save your own version. Set an object up the way you like, then use "Save as mine" to keep it as a personal preset. Updates to the original module won't overwrite it.

Working doors and pressure plates. Objects can bring their own door walls or act as pressure plates, with the working parts following them when you move them.

Two new conditions for interactions. Check which side of an object a character is on, or whether they carry a particular item. Think of a door barred from the inside, or a "Use the key" option that only appears for someone carrying it.

More control over object sounds. They now use Foundry's Environment volume slider, and there's a separate "Object sound volume" setting for each person. If things sound louder or quieter after updating, check those controls.

A few small fixes, too

Teleporting is no longer blocked by walls in Foundry VTT 14, and objects keep responding to clicks after a scene redraw.

Walking up to an object no longer gives players a false "too far away" message when the GM's browser tab is in the background. Objects set to Players also respond to signals and changes started by the GM.

Playing a sound no longer delays an object's change. Hidden objects also keep their looping sounds quiet until you reveal them.

Updating

This update is for Foundry VTT 14. Update MapForge through Foundry's Add-on Modules screen as usual.

New to MapForge? You'll find it in Foundry's official module browser. Downloads and updates are included with W&W Adventurer and W&W Arcane Circle memberships, with Patreon linked to your Foundry account.

Coming later today

Next up is an update for W&W Loot, with its own post here on Patreon. After that, I'll share the launch video and a proper look at the new toy. ;}

I'll be back with those posts later today.
