W&W Sheet 0.9.1: more room to play (Patreon)

Hey everyone!
Since the W&W Sheet beta went live, you've been sending me screenshots, bug reports, ideas, and those little things that only become obvious when a sheet reaches someone else's table. Thank you for taking the time. This update grew out of that feedback.
0.9.1 is ready for you to try. There's a more compact layout, a proper visual home for classes I haven't illustrated yet, clearer spell information, and fixes for walking and transformations in the Marionette. French and Russian are here too.
The download is attached at the bottom. Let me show you what changed.
More of your turn, in the same window
Some of you wanted the sheet to take up less room, especially on smaller screens. I agree that the character's identity should leave enough space for the things you actually need during play.
There are now two independent settings: a smaller header and a more compact body. You can use either one or both. Rows, spacing, and empty sections take up less room, and the menu at the top of the sheet can fit the window to your screen.
Each player chooses their own layout. The roomier version remains the default.
A place for every class
What happens if you play an Artificer, a Blood Hunter, or a homebrew class? That was a very fair question.
Classes without dedicated illustrations now get a complete appearance of their own: one of eight color palettes, one of twenty emblems, and an iron portrait frame. The initial combination comes from the class name, and you can change the color and emblem in edit mode.
Anyone can also choose another class's appearance, or use the neutral look and make it their own. These choices dress the sheet; they don't change your class rules.
The characters below show two examples. Their portrait artwork is for the demonstration and isn't included in the module.
Spells that are easier to read at a glance
A spell's preparation state now has its own text, icon, and contrast: Prepared, Not prepared, Always available, or No preparation. Spells granted by magic items no longer get an unhelpful "Not prepared" label, and cantrips are shown as always available.
In the Turn tab, spells sit in a separate collapsible group inside each action column. Close a group and it stays closed when the open sheet updates, including when you start a new turn.
Extra spell slots are also clearer. If you have four normal slots and two temporary ones, you'll see 4/4 and +2 temporary, with the extras kept separate in both the Spells and Turn tabs.
Walking, turning, and changing form
The Marionette's walking animation now follows the token's actual movement more closely: it starts with the movement, stays walking through continuous movement and corners, and returns to idle when the token stops. Standing figures also face the side they're walking toward.
For Wild Shape and Polymorph, Sets by form lets you associate a different Marionette animation set with each form. Configure the form once, then transform and return using the usual dnd5e controls.
If a form has no animation set assigned, it uses its own image instead of keeping the original character's videos on top. Creatures with random token images can use an asterisk in the image path to match their variations.
The form setup window also received some practical fixes, including keeping Save reachable and refreshing the available sets.
Bonjour. Привет.
The module now includes French and Russian, alongside English and Portuguese.
A very special thank you to AsK for the French translation and for helping bring the sheet to more tables. I really appreciate it.
Russian is new in this update, and community review of the final 0.9.1 files is still to come. If a phrase feels strange in either language, please tell me. The wording matters too.
The smaller changes matter too
Gear: less work behind dragging items, a clearer count of items that still have no place, and a better explanation of the inventory mode. In visual-only mode, the grid warns you but doesn't prevent you from carrying an item.
Readability: clearer proficiency marks on saving throws, better contrast in the Bard's header, and more compact empty sections.
Language: buttons that were still showing fixed text now follow the selected language, with Cyrillic font support for Russian.
Other character sheets: switching between W&W and Tidy was checked as part of this update. W&W still replaces character sheets; NPCs and vehicles keep their own sheets.
Marionette help: clearer guidance for top-down rotation, background removal, and local video export.
Getting your own art moving: revised guides and a reusable prompt recipe explain the setup, including using artwork you already have and reusing animation sets across characters.
For top-down tokens, check the rotation help if your creature needs to turn toward its movement. For standing figures, the left/right facing behavior is the relevant one. And you don't need to create a whole new set of artwork just to start experimenting with the Marionette.
Download and update
Download wnw-sheet-v0.9.1.zip from the attachment below.
This is still the closed beta. It requires Foundry VTT V14 and dnd5e 6.0 or newer; this update was tested on Foundry 14.368 with dnd5e 6.0.5.
Back up your world, then close it.
Extract the ZIP into Foundry's Data/modules folder, replacing the existing wnw-sheet module files if you're updating. The final folder should be Data/modules/wnw-sheet, without a second wnw-sheet folder nested inside it.
Open your world and make sure W&W Sheet is enabled in Manage Modules.
If something breaks or feels off, leave a comment here or tell me in the W&W Sheet channels on Discord. The class, the tab, what you did, and a screenshot make it much easier for me to find.
Thank you for helping me shape this so early. I want the sheet to feel good at your table, and this first update is already better because you used it and told me what you found.
