This is something more along the lines of an experiment. Trying to branch out and see if I can tell stories that go beyond sci-fi and fantasy.

If you think writers only write one story and stick to that, then you have a strange idea about writers :) Every writer will write books worth of stuff that doesn't have to be directly related to whatever they're currently maining. Writing needs practice, writing other random things helps crystallize ideas and thoughts. For published book writers (admittedly different from web serials) a huge amount of writing just gets binned as not viable, not fitting, not good enough, etc.
