Greetings everyone! I hope that you are all having a lovely day! I know that I am, with the news that America now has a new president set to step into the White House! Though I am not an American, I live in an adjacent country, so needless to say, I am breathing easier now. With so much nonsensical garbage being thrown around, it's a damn miracle that the world isn't at war right now! Thankfully, the people of America have spoken and they have chosen a better way forward. With that being said, let's get into the updates!

First on the agenda is the fact that there will be more notes and character bios that will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. I've been promising on delivering these goodies for my patrons and they will keep being delivered. I'm still working on a few additional bits for everyone here, including some other ideas that I've been kicking around in my head.

Next comes the announcement that everyone has been waiting for, about who won the character competition! Well, as everyone here now knows, the contest is closed and has been for some time and I am now sifting through the multitude of characters sent! It's going to be tough, selecting the three promised characters, but rest assured, they will be chosen soon! I will make the announcement of whose characters will be picked on Saturday, November 14th, 2020!

The third item on the list is about the pace in which I've been writing. So far, things are progressing well and setting this new pace has been much more relaxing and far less frantic than what my old pace was. I'm glad that I'm not pushing myself to the point of burnout anymore, which is never a pleasant place to be. Thank you everyone for understanding this.

Lastly, I just want to say to everyone here, thank you, for your support in getting me to this point! It's been one hell of an amazing ride thus far and I will continue to keep writing the stories that you want to read! I only hope that one day soon, I can quit my day job and do this full time, so I can write more stories for everyone! Maybe even bring back one or two that I've put into stasis ;) Again, thank you everyone and I hope that you are all doing well in this pandemic and are looking forward to a brighter future! Cheers!

I'll make you this promise, if I ever hit the lotto I'm going to go to the maximum tier just to help you out and reach your goal.

Thank you! It's patrons like you guys who keep me going and keep me inspired to write!

I wish the writers would not discuss politics here. Don't know if a "better way forward" is the best way to "claim it" Two nephews by marriage families are from Cuba and their lived-life socialism/communism stories are back of the neck hair raising. My female Venezuelan doctor can tell you socialism stories of families eating baked dirt pies due to no food on the shelves. From their real-life stories I wonder where America is headed.

C. H. Darkstrider

Both Venezuela and Cuba's political scene is merely a variant of Soviet Era socialism, which I agree needs to die, as it only benefits those in power and not the working man. However, the Democratic socialist policies that were implemented under Franklin Delano Roosevelt, are ideals and policies that I believe America could use a healthy dose of. Though Roosevelt never used the term to describe himself or his ideals, they were based on working together for the common good of all Americans. This is what I hope the new president will bring to the table, so that all of America may benefit.

Michael Estep

I find it interesting that any individual who lives outside any country thinks that they have a right to insist their input on how that country's politics run must be taken to heart.

C. H. Darkstrider

An observer's point of view and opinion on the matter. But, like all opinions, choose to disregard if you wish.

Big Dude

So Michael Estep, people come to America for a better life. Did you not read that in my original post? Their opinions do matter because they would gladly tell you why they left their country if you critically listen. In my work line I have been to six continents. You can learn a lot from listening to others instead of being in the "American cocoon".

Big Dude

Sorry to disagree with you but the comments these last few days from Democratic leaders scare me. You don't create political enemies lists. That's FASCISM/COMMUNISM. You don't threaten to take gun ownership away. That's NAZISM. You don't try to tax the rich to death. That's the NEW SOCIALISM. The rich will just move their money out of the US as we saw in 2019 with those Cayman Island and Swiss bank reports. As one with extremely deep Democratic family roots I don't recognize the party anymore.

Hell, I live in this country, and I am looking forward to less drama in the WH. Hopefully, it will be moderate, but definitely it will be quieter :)

DigitalDreamer

Agreed. Also, I like it when the leaders are less cult figures and more just plain old politicians.

PS -- If I wanted to spend a lot of time on political rants, I would just wander over to reddit.
