January 2024 Update! (Patreon)

Good evening, everyone! C.H. Darkstrider here with the latest update! This one is a long time in coming and I know people are curious about why I’ve been radio silent these past few months. That will all be explained, along with the newest changes, plans, and such that I will discuss here in this update! So, without any further ado, let’s get into it!

I’ll start this off by going into the whole bit about my radio silence, and my slow uploads of new chapters. That can be attributed to how life has been playing out for me these past few months. A lot of things have happened in my personal life that required my direct attention. These events, they simply could not be ignored due to the level of importance they carry.

I won’t talk about what exactly happened, but I will say they involved familial matters of considerable importance. Things that no husband or father should ignore, ever. For those of you who share either of these titles with me, you know what it is I speak of. Events that you must be 100% present in, with no distractions. As it is, many of these events left me quite drained and, in some cases, unable to do any work, as the mental load was more than a little taxing.

Currently, the load is lifted for the most part and I will be required to step up when needed. But thankfully, I have returned to a level of normalcy and am back to regaining my old pace. It will take some time and I will do my best to catch up to where I should be with my chapters. As it is, the best I can do with what time I have outside of work and family is all I can do. Until it changes for the better.

Next thing I wanted to talk about was the art I have been posting up here on the site. For those wondering, yes, it is AI artwork and yes, I have finally found a program that allows me to make NSFW images! I know some people may not like the fact that I’m using AI, as it seems like cheating. But it is a tool that I am using so that I can give everyone who supports me a look into what it is I see when I write my stories.

I will be doing actual art myself, learning about the various ways in which I can make great art for everyone to enjoy. But the day I start that endeavor will have to be the day I am no longer bound to work a traditional job. When I can take up writing full time, is when I will have the time necessary to learn to do art in the traditional way. I only hope that everyone understands my reasoning and hope that you are enjoying the art that I post up here in some form or other.

One other topic I wanted to touch off on was the rewards that are available to everyone, especially at the upper echelon tiers. There are still a lot of people who have yet to claim the rewards they are due! I know some folks may not be focused on those, but if you have something in your reward tier that you have yet to claim, please, feel free to reach out to me about it!

I am an open-minded guy and have no issues on integrating whatever your ideas are into the story of your choice! Hell, Dagan Min and Thanatos are creations of two of my patrons, and I love working on these characters! So, if you are a member of the Honor Guard tier or higher, don’t be afraid to say hi and tell me of your ideas! I don’t shoot people down and I don’t bite! Please, I want to hear of the things you that want to see in the stories!

Finally, I wanted to talk about what is to come in the new year! As everyone knows, I do my damndest to stay on schedule and release every chapter of my promised work on time. There have been times where I’ve fallen behind, and this year will be where such issues are rectified. With all the new tools I have at my disposal and armed with new arcs and plot directions going forward, I anticipate this year will be one of my best! No spoilers, but this year is going to be a fun ride!

I would not be here without your continued support and the fact that you all love my stories this much means the world to me!
