Hooray! I've finally received my edited shots of Juniper from Fields of Mistria. Y'all- these are so gorgeous, I'm so excited. This costume was a labor of love, I have been following the development of FoM since 2020! When early access came out last year I sunk so many hours into it. I really love farming sims, I grew up playing Harvest Moon DS obsessively (was anyone else in love with the Witch Princess?)

A friend modeled the collar and the wrist cuffs for me, and I printed/sanded/painted everything. I wanted to do my best to get a mirror shine so it really looked like gold. I think I still have a lot to learn, but I'm proud of how this came out. The rest of the accessories I made out of worbla, and found a really neat tutorial where you can sand worbla down into a shine by using wet gesso paint. It was messy and I felt like I was in elementary school finger painting again, but very fun.

I carved a stamp out of EVA foam to make the pattern on the skirt. I think there are things I can improve upon in the future, but I DID feel like a bad-ass witch bitch wearing this, and I hope that shines through.

This is me telling you that if you liked Harvest Moon / Stardew Valley / any farming sim that you should go pick up the Fields of Mistria demo. Its like, $12! Juniper is the town's witch who runs a bathhouse and loves to experiment on the villagers. I think when this game gets a proper full release she has the potential to be the internet's goth girl crush of the month.
