With some Balance Coins, the local currency in hand. I quickly got myself a nice but smaller house and storefront at the edge of the market in Okhema as I decided that it would be just... Fucking funny as hell to be a merchant for a bit.
As for what I was selling? I was selling danmachi healing potions, weapons, and enchanted weapons for outlandish prices that weren't even in the local currency for the hell of it.
And it didn't take long for Aglaea to make her move after I opened up the shop.
"Hello, newcomer to Okhema. You may already know of me, but I wanted to introduce myself as you are... An enigma."
Aglaea then laid a hand over her very ample breasts that were partly exposed with her deep cut dress and spoke in her beautiful voice. "My name is Aglaea, may I have your name?"
I nodded and said easily. "Jake Bariss. So what can I do for the Great Weaver?"
The leading Chryso heir at this point gave me a thin smile before she 'looked' around with those dull but extremely beautiful emerald colored eyes as she looked around my shop with eye's that could not see.
Yet she saw more then anyone else via the countless golden strings that slithered around my shop invisible to my normal senses.
But to my magical senses? I watched the divine strings investigating every single inch of my humble shop.
Though her examinations quickly paused as one of her strings were cut just by merely glancing an enchanted sword I had upon on a wall.
"I am... Curious as to what you are selling. These weapons for example are quite the treasures even if they aren't the true match of divine weapons." She said in appreciation.
I snorted at her words though she wasn't wrong. My fused weapons were quite fairly not at all at the rank of true divine weapons.
That I was selling anyway... I bet her face would quickly pale and her opinion would change if she got to examine my Fire God Seal from Elden Ring. Or likewise my Leviathan Axe that had a good amount of divine blood fused into it as well.
Still I chuckled and said calmly. "Ehh, I am more interested in trading materials then actually making money."
Knowing I was in Honkai Star Rail... I was honestly a bit dissapointed I was in Amphoreus and not like landing at Herta's Space Station. If I was at the Space Station and had access to the Simulated Universe. I bet I could have used it to power level to level 10 without issue.
And don't even mention the reality bending 'Curios' that were basically SCP objects with how weird they were and having reality bending affects. Having those to fuse into my weapons and such would have given me some divine weapons for sure.
Finally her invisible strings at my words slowly swirled around my wrist laying limply around my limbs as she engaged her power as the demigod of Beauty the bearer of the Coreflame from Mnestia to compel me to speak in truth.
"Your name, these objects, even your bearing. They do not belong to Amphoreus do they?" She asked calmly even as to my mundane senses beautiful golden weaves were tied around my wrists to compel the truth.
I snorted and while I was a bit annoyed at her being so forceful. Well... I actually know what kind of life she has lived for the last thousand years. The world was literally dying and when some clear alien just waltz in?
Yeah if she didn't check on me I would be more worried she was going to outright just assassinate me.
Still... I felt Hepheastus's falna on my back flare to life as Aglaea gagged and coughed with golden blood spitting from her mouth as she backstepped from me with horror clear in her gaze.
All the while I said calmly. "My goddess doesn't like other's Charming me and using mind control. But I am not your enemy, I am here purely for my own ends. Ends that will not harm you and Okhema."
I took a breath and then spoke as I could feel Aglaea was clearly considering me a dangerous entity and that wasn't exactly what I wanted. "I am indeed not from Amphoreus. I came here to gain strength as I challenge worthy foes as I become stronger from becoming a greater hero."
Finally Aglaea spoke slowly and thoughtfully as she carefully wiped her golden blood away from her hands. "How can I trust you to not be an enemy of Okhema? You are not from this world, you do not share our values or culture in the slightest Jake Bariss."
My lips twitched as I shrugged and said honestly. "I said the truth previously. I am literally here to do heroic shit and in turn become stronger." After a moment of thought, I turned around and I took off my armor and shirt with Aglaea making a noise of wonder as her threads ghosted over my back.
Over my falna in particular that rang with TRUE divine power that wasn't the almost false divine power that came from this world's divine power in Coreflames, which was the core of each Titan's divinity.
Her voice was hushed as I could feel her threads ghost-like countless singular paintbrush hairs across my Status that I unlocked for her to read. Though, to say nothing of her not understanding Common from Danmachi.
She sure as shit coudn't read the divine written language even if she could feel the divine power in each letter that made up my falna.
As for why I was showing off my Falna? I wanted Aglaea to trust me, and I wanted her to include me, basically as a Chryso heir. Because I was here to fucking level up, to write a glorious tale to fill up my falna.
And what would make a better story, than saving an entire world from an endless time of destruction bent on total annihilation of said world?
There was a heavy pause before Aglaea finally spoke in almost amusement. "Even if it's your best interest to help us. That still doesn't answer why I myself should trust you?"
I put back on my shirt with a snort at her reply, and finally I just said with a chuckle. "No words will just earn your trust. So let my actions prove who I am."
And Aglaea merely hummed in thought for a moment before she said with a wry chuckle. "I suppose that in the end. I must merely take a chance. Because in these grim times, one can only hope for more than one savior for the world."
