After securing a promise with Mio that she wouldn't run off to the second level of the Sanctuary without filling up her Sacred Blood Geno points. I finally relaxed at that news.

As maxing out your Sacred Blood points was... So important if you actually want to unlock your gene locks further in the levels of the Sanctuary.

Maxing out your Sacred Blood Geno points meant that when you decided to ascend to the next level. You would gain a 'Sacred Body' from the Sanctuary system, which did so many things for a human who got it.

For one, their lifespan was significantly extended by a good thirty-odd years just for having the Sacred Body. Not to mention, it allowed the holders to be able to channel the effects of special geno cultivation, which were unlocked via finding and opening your gene locks.

And as for me, once I got the max of thirty Super gene points for the first Sanctuary, I would gain a Super body, which would give me stupidly overpowered abilities and allow me to have the ability to conquer and bind Spirits in the next levels.

"I need to beat some sense into that stupid brat." I growled as Runeas was the real problem, as Mio herself wanted to get strong. So did Rias, even if it was to a lesser extent.

Mio gave a helpless giggle as she said. "Heh, even the clan's elders have given her a beating at times. But she is utterly unrepentant and a genius at social workings." 

I shook my head with a sigh escaping me before I paused as a loud buzzer rang out with a mechanical voice ringing out. [Jake Bariss, contestant 183- Strap yourself into the VR pod and prepare for Virtual Reality insertion.]

I gave Mio another soft squeeze around her waist before I got up and went to the long VR coffin that I climbed into with Mio helping me be strapped down and having the neural matrix cage brought over my body, which would sync in with my body.

And as though I had been injected with a powerful drug. My vision quickly faded as my mind was linked up with the virtual system that partly interacted with the Sanctuary System that all of humanity had access to.

So, I landed on a large stone platform that was twenty meters wide in all directions. I only had to look over at my opponent, a good way who took out a large axe-shaped Beast Soul.

I couldn't help but snort at seeing what could only be a mutant-tier weapon, which I knew woudn't be able to get past my Sacred Blood armor.

But I didn't even need my sacred blood armor. I had ten Super geno points... I was comically physically stronger in life essence compared to this guy.

So I just relaxed a bit. And if it wasn't for the fact I knew Mio was watching me, her boyfriend being watched by tens of thousands of other people and my 'bosses' in Qin Xuan and Yang Manli.

I might have embraced my inner Garp and just started picking my nose or something.

Before my ADHD ass could do something stupid, however, that same mechanic voice rang out. [Contestants are safe from any wounds, mental damage, or otherwise soul-based damage, so you two may start fighting now. If neither of you does any lasting harm to the other's simulations in the next five minutes. You will both be considered at fault, and both of you will be eliminated.]

"Whelp lets get going then!" I said with a chuckle as I popped my knuckles and began striding towards my opponent.

He just sneered and said flatly. "So you belong to Qin Xuan huh? My boss told me to work over the rest of you dumbasses who are just after some looks."

I just raised an eyebrow and said with amusement. "Hey, my boss maybe pretty. But at least she doesn't toss me towards death to get ahead."

And the other guy snorted with a set of mutant-tier light armor covering his form that he was clearly keeping as a surprise.

But even as I closed in, he still said flatly. "You only die while serving the Son of Heaven when you are a fool or are weak. At least he is willing to share Geno's martial arts without you needing to sell yourself into his family." 

I just let out a burst of laughter as I said in amusement. "Hey! I am already part of the family, you could say... Maybe I should ask for some advanced allowance, Hahaha!"

Then the stone platform cracked beneath me as I shot forward with a Soru that made me blur at my speed and this cocky dumbass could react.

My 'Fist of Love' enhanced by Haki crashed into his skull, which I felt crack even as I slammed my fist downwards, with my body falling down with it, to crush his skull into the ground with my fist.

"Boring." I said blandly as the surroundings blurred and I was reset in a standing position in a a now empty arena.

[Contestant Jake Barris, are you ready for your next fight? You are entitled to a five-minute rest between fights to recover mental strength.]

I shook my head, and with another loud series of laughter, I called out. "Nah! Keep em coming! That was just boring and utterly disappointing hahaha! If I kill a guy with a single punch, just send the next chicken for me to truss up haha!"

Another opponent, this one a woman, came out with her taking out a spear Beast Soul and also putting on a set of Mutant-tier armor and I just sighed as I said to myself.

"Alright, Jake, don't get too excited. For people who have only been in the Sanctuary for not even a year. Having maxed out Mutant geno points and mutant beast souls in a set isn't bad." 

Then, the system called out for us to start the next battle. I didn't go to punch her death as that... Was probably a bit too much to do to a supposed genius beauty. I at least gave her the 'honor' of dying to a Sacred Blood beast soul weapon.
