After a long night of pained rest. I was able to get up and move around at the least the following afternoon so I could go to the King's Moot at the very least.

The King's Moot itself was taking place in a long hall filled with murals and statues of past Slayer Kings who had gone on great quests and only died to the greatest and worst foes imaginable.

Six, clan kings were in attendance including myself, the Slayer King as well as the High King.

And as I sat next to the Slayer King who sat at one end of the table which symbolized his honor as the host of this King's moot even with the High King here. Ungrim quickly brought me up to speed.

Telling me what I needed to know about the troop movements, logistics, and plans for us to break into Karak Eight Peaks along with the natural threats that came with fighting Clan Mors of the Skaven in particular if we were going to take our hold from the and the Greenskins.

Pulling back on my knowledge from my previous life as a human. I recalled that Clan Mors whole shtick was being super 'efficent' for Skaven anyway. And having less inner conflict in their clan.

And also using every method possible to win their battles as they used plague magic, weapons and advanced Skaven technology from clan Skyre. As well as using twisted bioweapons like Clan Moulder.

But soon enough the other kings with their rune engraved weapons were placed upon the table in front of themselves as they took their stone thrones.

"So this the beardless king. The blessed dawi of the Anscestors. Ye did work on that contraption you made even if its new fangled thing." One of the kings cursed me for making something so new even with the clear guidance of the elder gods.

I was close to lashing out and calling him a fool but I kept in the desire as I just snorted before drinking from my ale. Even as Thorgim's own enchanted throne was brought into the meeting hall and he sat at the other end of the long table.

Thorgim was even less interested in nonsense as I was as he threaded stronger fingers through his long silver beard and he asked. "Kharn of Barruk, have you recovered well?"

I nodded and said quietly. "Yes High King. I will have recovered within the next few days."

And with that he gave a grunt of approval before he cleared his throat and spoke as several other dwarfs brought out several old maps and put them in front of us.

Each map was a close copy of one another and clearly depicted the inside of Karak Eight Peaks. It's countless long halls, it's thousands of main halls, and of course the eight mountains that made up it's form.

"Now as for the topic of today as we have already discussed our logistics and other major subjects. We must discuss which of the Eight Peaks we should take over first to turn into our landing zone for further invasion and cleansing of the filth that have stolen our home."

And I mostly kept silent as several kings discussed which peak we should focus on before Ungrim Ironfist the Slayer King spoke out firmly.

"We should go in as deep as possible into the Thaggoraki's area. Cut them off from further reinforcements as we collapse the old tunnels to buy time to push the Skaven up towards the upper levels and into the arms of the Greenskins that have taken the upper levels."

Thorgrim grunted out then. "Dangerous... We could be quickly attacked from behind by the endless Skaven that fill the Underway."

I then spoke up. "Before we collapse the tunnels I could also just set my automatons to wander into the Skaven's tunnels to kill as many as possible before self destructing which would collapse the tunnels further in. Buying us time from reinforcements."

Thorgim slowly nodded as he said. "That would buy some time lad. Skaven Slaves, and even Clan Rat's have no real way to destroy your umgi sized automatons to say nothing of the giant sized ones which would take a couple Rat Ogres to deal with at the very least."

My blood boiled at the mental image of Skaven being torn apart by Centurions as well being burned alive by the steam that it constantly radiated.

Then the conversation turned towards other aspects like how to direct Ungrim should some Skaven elites like Queek Headtaker appeare and after a bit I spoke up. "Also, how many dwarves are being marshalled. With my blessing from the Goddess Valaya, my ale and food will fill our dwarves with strength and vigor for the battles to come. So I need to go back to my hold to collect the special meals and barrels of ale."

Before the other kings could say anything, Ungrim spoke up for me very strongly. "Mine kin, he is understating it. His ale can make our kin safe from disease, fire, and poison along with his food making a dawi's axe hand twice as strong."

Then he passed me over a scroll with a general listing of the Slayer's and other kin who would be going into battle with the other dwarven kings seemingly saying fuck it and doing the same.

Though Thorgim gave me a long look before he said simply. "Don't lose those documents or let anyone else see them. Ye never know what foul thing lies in the shadows that could hear or see them."

Then Throgim gave a hearty chuckle and said. "Now, let's get to feasting! The Dawi have a new Rune Lord in Kharn of Clan Barruk! Enjoy the night of honor for your next feast will hopefully be at the homeland of Eight Peaks!"

And as Ungrim gave my shoulder pauldron's a mighty clap, I watched as beautiful dwarven women brought in plates of bountiful food and barrels of ale were rolled out to us before being tapped to fill us with fresh ale.
