The life of a Campione definitely had it's ups and downs... Having to constantly fight for their place at the top of the modern world was a fairly steep cost. But, it was also balanced out by the fact that there were VERY FEW things that walked the planet that could remotely challenge a Campione.

Was there any mage/magus in any of the magical Associations that could harm me or any other Campione? Absolutely fucking not. Sure they could burn their lives away using forbidden magic tools to hurt us. But that wasn't their power obviously.

And Ena Seishuuin herself was very much still just a human. Could she challenge a god or campione and stand her ground for a bit with the divine sword on her back? Yes she could, but could she defeat me?

Hell fucking no she coudn't. If human's could kill heretic god's using some overpowered divine tool and become a Campione, then there would be fuck loads more Campione in history.

"So, you know you can't beat me... So why are you even trying to fight me actually?" I asked as Ena Seishuuin stretched before she pulled the sealed sword off of her back.

And with a shameless laugh she said. "Maybe I am just looking for a good man to take care of me? And no matter what happens, you will end up taking care of this other helpless little lamb as well." She finished with a teasing look at Mariya Yuri.

Said 'helpless lamb' covered her chest with a deep flush as she scowled at her friend. Clearly worried the other miko was going to attack her breasts again to tease her.

An actual chuckle left me as I said more easily. "You know what... Fuck it, you at least are honest in what you want. I like that in a woman, but if you cause problems. You had best be ready for me to throw you firmly on your ass and out of my sphere of influence." 

I let my divine seals slide out of the pocket space I kept in my sleeves and with a roar, the divine sword of Kusanagi was covered in a divine wind that she swung at the enlarging seals that were flying at her.

A loud crashing noise rang out as the divine wings slammed into the Yang Divine Seal, and in response, divine flames infused with her own wind energy shot back at her, making her yell as she blocked her own rebounded attack.

"I haven't just been sitting on my ass, you know. I have been upgrading my gear as my divine armaments aren't static as an authority themselves." I said evenly as I accepted a cup of tea that Erica so 'helpfully' brought me as my divine seals bullied Ena Seishuuin.

My elegant sip of the tea made from tea leaves I myself have been growing inside the prototype Age of God's domain was both fucking delicious.

And a balm to my soul at seeing Ena beyond struggling, as she couldn't overpower the divine seals powered by my essence as the Jade Emperor.

"Hmm, a woman seeking a strong man. Are you willing to accept something like that? What if she finds another stronger man?" Erica teased me as she leaned against me and gave me a knowing look.

To which I rolled my eyes and gave her a light poke as I retorted. "Don't be stirring up drama, you witch."

Instead, I looked over at Mariya and called over calmly. "Come on over, Mariya. I have some questions about your prophecy... Ena isn't going to be able to attack me with my seals keeping her busy."

All hail the flying, overly ornate brick of smashing, burning, and freezing.

Ena Seishuuin herself yelled as another seal broke on her sword, with dark, almost abyssal, deep water like divine energy roared around her... Then she staggered as the Yin seal glowed.

And the outpouring divinity leaking into her body from the sword was drained away just as the Yang seal came in as a building-sized brick that smashed her across the gardens.

That sight was proof enough that Ena was no threat to a simple conversation... Meaning Mariya had zero options to use as a way to deny getting close to me a Campione who could do terrible things to her.

Like what Vobann did to a bunch of Hime-Miko's and seers as he used them as their souls and bodies as fuel to force a Heretic God to descend to fight him directly.

Mariya walked over with her head down and looking as submissive as possible. And I just asked calmly. "Mariya, do you have any clue about where any of those divine authorities from that mirror is going to land?" 

She paused, visibly going stiff before she spoke with clear fear in her voice. "The Authority of Gluttony will be taken by the Spider. And some water-based Authority has already been taken by a heretic goddess who has evolved in taking it."

"ORT has an Authority governing the sin or concept of Gluttony... Whelp, that is fucked." I said with my face going stiff as well.

And as for the heretic goddess who got some kind of water authority? I couldn't be assed about that honestly. It's not like it would be like Tiamat, who would have two ocean/water domains?

Or hell, what if it was just like some lesser goddess like Hebe who got hold of it? Someone I could crush in just a couple of moves, and possibly even weaker than Athena.

I just shook my head before in the corner of my eye, I saw a line of swirling pink glowing petals that flew off into the distance out of the gardens.

'Wait... If all these major seers saw this as well. Then fucking Gilgamesh, and Merlin also saw them as well, and certainly saw even more! And now Merlin is trying to get my attention as well!'
