Great Great Asset Chapter 42 (Patreon)

Even Akitsu and Matsu actually trusted these people enough to let me wander Tabane's workshop with Belfast's guidance. The beautiful shipgirl then showed me the more public areas of said eccentric scientist's home/workshop.
"So how long have you and the rest of the your Royal Navy sister's been... Working for? Serving Tabane?" I asked curiously.
Belfast let out an elegant hum before she spoke. "Hmm, it has been." She drew off for a moment before she continued. "It's been a few years at this point. My friends and I were all dropped off in this universe together. A bad batch we were called when our buyer was beaten half to death by his wife for buying several dozen maids and noble women."
Belfast's primly held-together hands in front of her were let go as she barely raised them to do a light shrug that made her massive milkers bounce distractingly as she continued.
"Thankfully, we all landed together. And while it was a challenge, the monsters we did run into before we linked up with Tabane were all monsters that a great amount of violence and explosives could deal with."
I nodded in understanding before I spoke thoughtfully. "Honestly, my landing point wasn't that bad either. I got here in some old abandoned mall that just had a few VERY oversized bugs I could fairly easily deal with."
And yeah. While the small crowd of Micheal Myer's was also a bit scary... It was really hard to be scared of some dude with a knife and a slow walk when you had an enchanted AA12 with unlimited ammo.
Belfast nodded and said. "As you well know, the deeper you head into the universe's realms. The more dangerous it becomes, the richer the Primordial Energy Items are as well. But some things... Some realms are just utterly cursed, like this one is itself. You can't breath it's air, as its dust is extremely, unreasonably radioactive."
And to that effect I recalled Feixiao talking on the way here about the other realms she had found. A realm of blood filled with warring vampire clans that were mostly 'waifu/husbando' clones.
But even Feixiao, with her great power, was almost driven insane by the blood magic and tainted lunar energy in that realm.
It was the Goku situation all over again. He could literally crack planets with ease, but he still died of heart disease in one timeline or whatever. Feixiao was also at that powerlevel, but she was also very much of flesh and blood.
And was thus very weak to rule based cursed that went along the lines of. 'If you look at this cursed moon. You WILL be filled with lunar madness and will be driven to slaughter and drink blood.'
"So, you been with Tabane for a good while huh? Anyway, I hope this isn't rude, but... Have you considered leaving this dimension and going home or something?" I asked a bit sheepishly.
Azur Lane was a bit of a death world, honestly. So when Belfast spoke, I wasn't too surprised, as I had heard similar views as well with my own group like with Lust. Lust utterly refused to go back to the FMA world.
Because she was terrified that 'Father' would just absorb her back to get the memories of this place.
"No. I have zero interest in returning to my particular home universe of Azur Lane. I have sworn my personal service to Lady Tabane, and as the Head Maid of the Royal Navy, my vows will be eternal for as long as I live."
I could hear the completely unshakable promise in those words. Honestly, it reminded me of the surety in the love my Sekirei had for our bond.
Belfast then elegantly cleared her throat before she spoke with a small teasing smile. "In any case. Jake, is it true that you are the chef for your group?"
I nodded before smiling helplessly as I said with an amused sigh. "Yeah... I am the chef for a good number of superhuman gluttons. And don't get me started on how much of a mess they are when it comes to getting ahold of wine and desserts."
I still had PTSD from that time I made a giant serving of whiskey bread pudding and limoncello tiramisu, and my Sekerei had to 'save' me from Kazehana, who wanted to chain me to the kitchen.
A chuckle left Belfast as she said idly. "Yes, sometimes, even if someone has the strength to level mountains. They are all but inept in taking care of themselves, let alone their household ufufu."
Then we passed through an automatic glass door and as we passed through, Belfast spoke out as I took in the long, well-decorated feasting hall of all things that had a quiet rumble filling the air.
"Dido, Sirius, please come out from under the tables."
And with that, the quiet rumbling stopped. And I saw two beautiful maids climb out from under the massive feasting table with tiny handheld vacuums.
For a moment I wondered why Tabane didn't just have a giant ai roomba or whatever for cleaning the floor. Before I realized that this thickly padded carpet was of very high quality and needed to be hand-cleaned.
As well as I imagined, the maid army would throw a fit if Tabane tried to automate their jobs.
"Miss Belfast!" Both Dido and Sirius bowed hurriedly, seeing the truly perfect maid in front of them.
And with a soft clap of her gloved hands. Belfast spoke more seriously. "Sirius, Dido, this is Jake Bariss. A guest of Lady Tabane who has a talent for cooking, and I believe you three could quickly come to make a fast friendship."
I raised an eyebrow as I hadn't been expecting her to lead me to Dido and Sirius.
Dido and Sirius's whole theme was to be the clumsy and endearing type of maids while contrasting with truly sinful body types as they wore their tight-fitting and low-cut maid outfits VERY well.
Looking towards Belfast, she gave me a small smile and said. "Jake, would you care to head to the kitchens. I would be very interested in trying your cooking for dinner. Woudn't you be interested in leading a team of chefs in the kitchen to make some proper cuisine?"
I was actually rather interested in leading a full kitchen roster and not just having my Sekirei stealing half of my ingredients to snack on as they 'halped' me in the kitchen.
Then my face twitched as Belfast said with her hands put up against her chest, which pushed up her large breasts as she all but begged. "Please, Jake... Do not make me feed welcomed guests Grilled Cheese, Chili with Fritos, and a root beer float for dinner. I will trade you a book on magical smithing."
"Why do, you need me to do this, though?" I said helplessly as I looked to Dido and Sirius, who only slightly shifted at my glance towards them, as I added. "And how do these two factor in?"
Belfast let out an exasperated sigh before she said bluntly. "Because my honored lord is a traumatized woman who hides said trauma behind deadly mechs and childish actions. If you take charge of the kitchens, my lady will not order me to make her childish and otherwise poor dinner choices for entertaining guests."
I was rather stunned at her blunt words. I was then even further stunned as she continued. "As for Dido and Sirius here. I wish for them to serve as your direct sous chefs."
And as Sirius and Dido looked at me with hope in their eyes. I knew I was utterly doomed!
