Diggy Diggy Hole Chapter 50 (Patreon)

After sending Shaggit and the rest of his Ogre mercenaries down the train line back to my own kingdom where he would get all the food he could eat. I refocused on myself as something was wrong with me.
Something was whispering into my ears, telling me to spill more blood, to take the skulls of those ogres when Shaggit offhandedly threatened to eat me.
It didn't take a genius to guess what was plaguing my mind. As while the demons of Warhammer Fantasy weren't as prone to invading the bodies and minds of mortals in here in Fantasy.
That didn't mean that they coudn't.
I strode into the hallowed hall's of the Ancestor Gods and the moment I did so. I could feel a burning disdain for my 'gods' erupt in my mind.
'Why should I submit to these gods who have been lost in the Warp for millennia? It's not like they even give a damn about the Dawi either?' A voice whispered to me.
No, it wasn't a foreign voice. It was... My own voice. My own thoughts of how I, I with a system, had lost my family, my clan, my teacher to a horde of rats, and my gods did nothing to help me at all.
But that didn't change the fact that I knew something was inside of me what shoudn't be there!
I knelt in front of the statue of Grimnir and a loud thrum rang out as my molten heart pounded as I pulled at the Wind's of Aquishy.
"Begone, foul wretch. You will find no purchase on my mind!" My body glowed molten red as I built up more magic of the Wind of Fire.
And in the deep recess of my mind, I could hear a scream as I flooded my body, soul, and mind with flames that made molten tears of bloody flame leak from my eyes and nose.
From my body came a deep red mist. Not entirely from within my body either, as the stubborn bloodstains and wounds I couldn't close leaked the bloody essence.
The bloody essence quickly coagulated directly into a large, three-meter-tall, blood-red-skinned demon of Khorne that snarled as I stood up lethargically with my rune bound axe in hand.
"Your a big bloodletter, I guess." I said with a grin and before I could ask if this bloodletter had a name.
The demon roared and swung a bronze and iron colored great sword at me with great power and speed!
But this was the temple to the Ancestor Gods. Its essence was clearly weakened, as the god's statue glared down at it. Glared with glowing stone eye's.
And most importantly, this area wasn't at all undefended, as several repeating crossbows shrieked out loud noises of wood and metal being bent with great pressure.
The Bloodletter staggered as several bolt's snapped into it's body giving me ample time to cut off its sword-carrying arm with a Power Strike enhanced with a lash of fire that covered it's red skin.
The bloodletter, being a demon of Khorne, didn't cry out in pain from losing its arm. It swung its free arm in a brutal straight jab aimed directly for my armored head.
I took the punch to the head straight on my rune-covered helmet. And as its fist hit my head, it loudly cracked as it howled at the purity ward I had on my helmet in particular.
With it stepped back to get ready to probably kick me or something. I just charged in and with a loud crunching noise. I slammed my axe into its upper chest. Shattering its heart and ribs.
With a grunt I wrenched my axe out of it's chest and then a roar I slammed the axe home in a sweeping motion through its neck. So that with a loud thud, it's large elongated head would fall and hit the floor.
The demon's body quickly began to fade, and its sword was about to fade as well. I quickly leaned down, and with a snap I threw the sword into my inventory!
"Fucking rat bastard... It's not a suprise Khorne demons are being summoned from the massive amount of blood flowing across the ground." I muttered helplessly.
Normally, though, in a battle between Orcs and the Dawi. Khorne's demon's didn't show up. But the Skaven?
The Skaven had ZERO problem making their subordinates into a suicide bomb to summon a bunch of Khorne demons specifically to kill a bunch of enemies.
Only Khorne demons, though. They didn't give a shit about the lives of their subordinates, but summoning any other type of demon could quickly escape their control and designs.
[Level up+ 4]
[Perk Unlocked- The One They Shall Fear! Slaying a demon will result in a total stat check. If the User's stats are higher than the demon's. Then the demon once killed is completely processed into EXP for the user. Preventing any form of revival or resurrection for the demon.]
'Huh... I guess that fits and is fair. It stops me from making a giant magic cannon and using a nuclear round of crazy magic to kill a Greater Demon and getting dozens of levels at once.' I mused to myself.
Taking a deep breath, I looked over towards my fellow dawi, and I went forward to explain what had happened. As it was unusual for my kin to be directly possessed by demons.
But I had been literally wading through pools of blood, and constantly casting magic, which left me far more open to a demon slipping into my mind and soul.
It was more than understandable for it to happen.
"Boy, you need to purify yourself. Even if you are a King, you need a period of prayer and need to get back to smithing or brewing to clear the corruption from your heart and mind."
The speaker was the Herald of Grimnir, a dawi who had spent his entire life praying to the god and working in his domains. He was a Runesmith himself, with several centuries under his belt and a beard that had to be folded thrice so that it didn't dirty itself by dragging across the ground.
