Do I look like I care what they think? (Patreon)

So there’s a big problem.
Jeongguk finally had the guts to ask Jimin out, but everytime they’re out in public Jimin seems so distant, not at all the same guy he met in the sports club some time ago.
They’ve hung out at his place, and Jimin never seemed distant. He always smiles prettily, listens attentively, even touches him familiarly, his shoulder, his hand. But this is their first date and Jimin seems like he’s not even really there.
Jeongguk thought this would be the day he’d finally get to hold his hand, to get a little closer, but when his hand so much as grazes Jimin’s, the blonde just walks over to something he sees and starts gushing about it.
Jeongguk bites the inside of his cheek, feeling a little rejected as they walk over the boulevard, busy nightlife buzzing around them as the sound of the waves fades away in the distance.
The sun is going down, stars appearing in the sky, and the atmosphere is so good. The live music on the street, the perfect temperature, the perfect guy..
Jeongguk pouts a little, looking at Jimin, who’s watching the band with a pretty smile.
He decides to go for it properly this time, grabbing Jimin’s hand and holding it tightly.
And he was right, Jimin was actively trying to avoid it, because now he looks down at their hands with a little awkward smile, a nervous chuckle as he looks around, trying to free himself.
“Why won’t you hold my hand?”
Jeongguk asks softly, a little sad as he sees Jimin stop struggling, looking up at him with wide eyes.
“Because-“ Jimin starts, leaning closer and lowering his volume. “because you’re new to all of this. We’re in a big crowd, they could hate people like us. If they saw us holding hands, what would they think?”
Oh..
Jeongguk thought he made it clear last time, but apparently Jimin is still not completely sure that he’s in this a 100%.
So he pulls Jimin even closer, intertwines their fingers, presses a kiss on his cheek.
“Do I look like I care what they think?”
