Jimin has always had one rule as a teacher: to never ever fall for a student.

And in his 15 years of work at the university that has never been a problem.

Except when Jeon Jeongguk came along.

The first month was absolute hell. Jeongguk is everything Jimin isn’t; he’s street smart, funny, popular, bold. Jimin has always been studious, quiet, nerdy. So there was a natural clash between them.

Jeongguk gets under his skin every chance he gets. Always having a counter argument, outsmarting him, or just simply giving Jimin that look.

Jeongguk has those big, dark brown eyes. Even from the back of the lecture hall Jimin can always see them, always feels them look right at him. It’s an intense type of stare, something he can’t shake, can’t get rid off.

The second month Jeongguk starts to hang around after the lecture is over. It irks Jimin at first, because he doesn’t want to spend any time longer with a guy he’s practically jealous of. But Jeongguk does raise interesting discussion topics, sometimes diving deep into philosophy, religion, politics, or even completely random topics such as why bird and fish names suck so bad.

Gradually, Jimin starts to kind of enjoy the conversations. Even though Jeongguk still pushes discussions and likes to win, Jimin is less irritated.

It’s the third month that it escalates. With Jeongguk hanging around like so many other times, sitting on his desk like he’s allowed to.

“How come you’re still single?”

Jeongguk asks, bold as always.

Jimin is taken aback by the question. Because it’s not something he openly discusses at all. And he isn’t sure how Jeongguk knows he’s single in the first place.

“I don’t have time.”

He says, as the standard excuse he’s always used.

Jeongguk scans over his face, eyes glinting with that curiosity that he gets whenever Jimin is apprehensive to talk.

“Is that what you tell yourself?”

“Yes.” Jimin tries to cut the conversation short. “And my students, when they ask.”

“Mm.” Jeongguk nods slowly, small smile curling on his lips. “Good defence mechanism.”

“Thanks, polished it for 15 years.”

“So you’re single by choice.”

Jeongguk doesn’t let go of the topic.

Jimin feels his heartbeat raise a little. It’s inappropriate to talk about this subject with a student. It’s too personal, and too close.

“Why are you asking me this?”

Jeongguk doesn’t reply for a while, but his eyes speak a thousand words. They travel down over Jimin’s body slowly, and back up.

In his 15 years of teaching he’s never been checked out quite that obviously. Heat spreads through his body, which is also a first in a long time. No one has made him feel like this for years. And it’s Jeongguk, one of his students, for gods sake.

“I think it’s time for lunch break.”

Jimin says, clearing his throat.

Jeongguk gets off his desk with a small smirk on his lips.

Jimin watches him walk out with his heartbeat in his throat.

It’s the forth month that he fucks up.

Even though he’s aware of Jeongguk’s attraction towards him, he keeps allowing Jeongguk to hang out after the lecture. He is under the false pretence that he can handle this as a professional.

However, Jeongguk doesn’t give him a break.

“You have more colour on your face this week.” Jeongguk comments. “Was wondering if you’re still single.”

Jimin bites on his tongue. Because the reason he’s got more colour on his face is that he’s been touching himself regularly, using a dildo each night to fuck himself to sleep. All while thinking of the very guy sitting on his desk.

“I’m still single.”

Jimin says, not giving anything else.

Jeongguk doesn’t need anything else, it seems. He just quirks a brow, eyes glinting.

“Mm.. you must be doing something right then, you have an afterglow.”

Jimin swallows, cheeks burning red. Why does Jeongguk even notice something like that? No one else has commented on his complexion.

“Is it like a.. before sleep ritual?”

Jeongguk continues, tilting his head. He’s trying to play off the conversation as innocent when Jimin knows it’s absolutely not that.

He feels familiar heat spread through his body, and he doesn’t know how to reply. Jeongguk is indirectly asking if he’s touching himself before he goes to sleep, and it’s so wrong. Yet he can’t bring himself to send Jeongguk away like last time.

So he just nods slowly, admitting it.

Jeongguk’s pupils dilate, eyes widening slightly, and he shifts closer to him.

“Any reason why you’ve started doing it again?”

Yeah, sitting right in front of him.

“To clear my head.”

“From?”

“Frustrations.”

Jimin tries his best to avoid saying it directly, but Jeongguk looks positively drunk on the information, breathing a little heavier.

“Do I frustrate you?”

Fuck.

Jimin’s ears burn at the implication, and he can barely breathe with the intensity of Jeongguk’s stare. He swallows again, feels how dry his throat has gotten.

“Yes.”

Oh god.

Jeongguk has a wild look in his eyes, and before Jimin can put an end to this tense conversation, Jeongguk climbs off the desk and straddles him, hand curling around the back of his neck, pulling him in for a bruising kiss.

“Mm!”

Jimin’s eyes are wide open, body freezing in response while Jeongguk mouths at his lips with a desperation he’s never felt before.

It’s too much to process. They’re in his lecture hall, anyone could walk in, he could lose his job, he could go to jail even, but Jeongguk’s lips on his own feel so good that he doesn’t want it to stop either, and so he’s just letting it happen for a while, until Jeongguk licks over his lips in search for more.

He pushes Jeongguk back, panting as he looks at his student.

“This is wrong. We can’t do this.”

He says, trying to slap some sense into himself.

“Why? I’m 24, it’s not that big of an age gap.”

“You’re my student.”

“Who you get off to every night.”

Jeongguk argues, always needs to have the upper hand.

Jimin can’t even defend himself, he’s tongue-tied, and his body is shuddering at the idea of taking Jeongguk to his place.

“Do you want to do the responsible thing, or the fun thing?”

Jeongguk asks, leaving the choice up to him.

Jimin’s head is about to explode just arguing with himself. His number one rule fighting against his darkest desire.

“I promise I’ll make you come way harder than whatever pathetic replica of a dick you’re using to fuck yourself.”

Jeongguk whispers right against his ear, and Jimin.. well, he thinks it’s only fair that as a teacher, he should give his student the chance to prove that theory.
