“Forgive me father, for I have sinned. It has been a day since my last confession. These are my sins.” Jeongguk takes a deep breath, cheeks burning. “I have given into lust once more. I got tempted and couldn’t control myself, and I am truly sorry for all my sins.”

“It is a difficult process for a man to learn to control his urges. But we must trust that the God will guide us, and will reward us when we follow his path.”

“But father, I do not know how to resist.”

“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace.”

Jeongguk swallows, because he can’t just run away from the prince. He’s his personal guard, this isn’t something he can just give up.

“What if I can’t run..”

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. With temptation, God will also provide the way of escape, so that you may endure it.”

Jeongguk sighs, and nods. There must be a way out. He just has to find the strength within himself, fight the urge when it comes to him.

The image of Jimin underneath him, moaning, rutting against him, flashes in his mind, and he feels his temperature rise, the confession booth suddenly too small.

He isn’t all too sure if that kind of temptation is ‘common to man.’

In fact, he isn’t sure if Jimin is an earthly temptation. Someone as beautiful as him surely was made with heavenly touch.

The father gives him his penance, which he performs after his act of contrition, and then he returns to the castle.

If Jimin does ask him to help again at some point, he’ll just have to trust that God will provide the escape that comes with temptation.
