Oh yeah, Jimin really is winning so bad. 

After spending a few more hours gloating in the sun, the next text pops up when he’s just arrived home. Hoseok had gone on and on about movie night at their place which is probably just code for fiddling with Taehyung on the couch— so he’s not at all sorry when he excuses himself to go to his room. 

He lies down on his stomach, permanent smile on his face as he whips his phone out. Jeongguk’s text stares at him.

did you quit drinking after your hangover or

Ah, this is as good as a love confession.

just checking, since you can’t even call a cab or get home by yourself

If he’d known Jeongguk would break after seeing him hit rock bottom he would have done it earlier. 

I had a few cocktails today

He smiles when Jeongguk types and stops, types and stops. Imagines him at the bar, secretly pulling his phone out and texting on the clock.

As long as Jeongguk isn’t answering, he isn’t answering either.

Jeongguk is better at that though, leaves him waiting a whole 5 minutes for his next text.

Jimin snorts. Bad for business has got to be the worst excuse a guy has ever used. 

Mmm.. it really kind of sounds an awful lot like you miss me 

Jeongguk goes offline as if it personally offends him to read that. But it might also be that he’s working in between. The timing is very suspicious though.

Jimin just scrolls through some reels, definitely doesn’t check his chat every other second. If Hoseok would catch him like this it would be over for him.

He’s still on that? His stubbornness is something else.

If Jeongguk wanted to he could have come by at least 12 times already. 

That’s why the next message doesn’t make any sense.

Again, Jeongguk doesn’t reply right away, but he’s online, typing and deleting.

That’s the whole message. Far.

The thing is, it isn’t far. And he’s not picking it up unless he gets an answer as to why Jeongguk’s got his number.

With that he locks his phone for a while. 

It’s weird no matter how he looks at it. His shirt is clearly just an excuse, but Jeongguk doesn’t want to budge one bit. 

Even half an hour later there’s still no reply even though his message is read.

It kind of goes against his code to double text, yes even he has some limits. He will willingly sink on his knees in a dirty bathroom to suck on Jeongguk’s finger but double texting really just isn’t classy.

He sighs. 

Today he’ll break the code.

come on, why are you really texting me, hm?

if you wanted to, you could have just brought the shirt, or thrown it out, but you somehow got my number, so

Jeongguk comes online not even a second later

I got it only so you don’t end up puking in a ditch stranded with no place to go

Oh suddenly he can reply huh.

Did he ask one of the guys he hooked up with maybe? Would Jeongguk even remember their faces? and would he even be able to put his pride aside to ask? Probably not.

it doesn’t matter.

Now that seems awfully defensive.

Jimin blinks a few times. The only time he left his phone unattended around Jeongguk..

did you get it when I was at your place? 

There is no answer. Though Jeongguk is online, typing and deleting, typing and deleting.

Jimin pushes a little harder, corner of his mouth curling up.

Not that he cares. Just the idea of Jeongguk trying to get his number one way or another turns him on just a little bit. Sue him. After weeks of nothing he’s a little more sensitive than normal.

Jeongguk is now typing without deleting anything, and the reply comes rather fast.

oh that’s a privacy breach, but not you sneaking into my room at night and sleeping in my bed?

He licks the underside of his teeth, bites on his lower lip with a smirk.

This is perfect. This is good. 

Whatever was so important to Jeongguk just minutes ago seems to be less important now, all his replies keep flying in.

I didn’t go through your phone I just connected them.

Ah, he’s really got an answer for everything huh? Jimin chuckles softly, rolls on his back instead.

He imagines a grimace appearing on Jeongguk’s face now.

Jimin licks his lips, hits send on the next message and waits.

Does it smell like me? 

No reply. Nothing at all for a solid minute. Jeongguk is online but he isn’t even typing, the message is just read. He wishes he could see his face, but the silence also feels like a win. 

It’s his greatest pleasure, getting under Jeongguk’s skin. Even if it’s over text, it brings him life.

it doesn’t

He blinks, stares at the screen a few seconds longer. His smile slowly fades, heartbeat picks up instead. 

Did Jeongguk actually.. smell his shirt?

The image is already in his mind; Jeongguk pressing his face into the fabric and breathing in deeply.

That’s.. kind of hot.

I washed it

Oh.

Jeongguk is playing with him too huh? 

He chuckles softly.

Ah.. that’s a pity.

He bites his lip, contemplates if he should send the next one but whatever, if they’re playing this game.. 

He takes a quick picture, nothing spicy, just of him lying down in his shirt on his bed, and captions it: want a new one?

Jeongguk goes offline immediately. 

Hah. 

He definitely won this round. 

He’s only a little bit upset that Jeongguk just ghosts him the following hours, but then again, he got him good. So, a smile is plastered on his face when he saunters downstairs, and he finds he was right earlier, Hoseok is all over Taehyung on that couch.

Normally he’d make some type of remark but he’s too smily to do anything about it, just gets himself some water, to thin out the many cocktails he had.

He even sits down next to them, absentmindedly watches the tv until Hoseok finally notices he’s there too.

“Oh fuck! What the fuck— I didn’t hear you come down.”

The two of them quickly climb off each other, untangle each limb until they’re sitting picture perfectly on the couch.

“Why are you smiling?”

Hoseok asks then, as if him and smiling don’t fit in the same sentence.

Even Taehyung leans over to look at his face that he quickly puts straight.

“No reason. Go swap spit in your bedroom, I wanna watch my show.”

He takes the remote control but Hoseok bats it out of his hand, points directly at his face.

“It’s that guy huh?”

“What guy?” Taehyung chimes in.

“It’s not.”

“Oh it so is.”

“Who?”

“No it’s not.” He pushes Hoseok’s hand out of his face, ears a little hot. “I’m just relaxed from the beach day—“

“Relaxed my ass, you and your 7 cocktails did not relax.”

“Who are we talking about?”

“There’s this guy who works at the garage and the bar that Jimin is so fucking down bad for.” Hoseok turns to Taehyung as if he isn’t sitting right there. “He’s been chasing him the past weeks it’s getting lame.”

“Oh, Jeongguk?”

Oh no.

Fuck.

Jimin bites on his tongue hard. 

Both of them turn their heads towards him. He does not grant eye contact. Maybe if he sits super still they will cease to see him at all.

“Ah, it’s Jeongguk huh?” 

He has known Taehyung less than a day but he can tell that he is an absolute brat just by his tone of voice. That is the voice of a professional ragebaiter. 

It takes one to know one.

“If you want him I’m all for it, would make him less obnoxious.”

“I don’t want him. I want his dick.”

Is it that hard to get in this economy that a man just needs a good lay every now and then?

“See he says that, and then he spends all day dressing up to go see him at the bar, only to come back all sad when he gets turned down.” 

“Hey.”

“Oh wow.”

“And then the next day he still goes to visit him at the garage—“

“Hoseok if you don’t shut up I will tell Taehyung about your weird kink—““Hey now let’s not get all fired up.”

“What kink?”

“I will say it—“

“You promised me in high school you would never bring this up again.”

“Which one—“

The doorbell rings.

Perfect. 

He stands up quickly, straightens his clothes. Taehyung mouths another “tell me” but Hoseok gives him the Eyes of Terror, so he just excuses himself with a polite smile.

He will never share a summer house with Hoseok again. Accusing him of feelings and downbadism. How dare he.

He opens the door.

Oh.

fuck.

It’s Jeongguk. In full biker gear. That black helmet on, that way too tight black shirt, the protective gear on his lower arms, leather gloves and all. Tight pants. So tight—

He has half a mind not to lick his lips, lifts his gaze slowly, nothing but his own reflection in that visor, can’t even make out Jeongguk’s face. 

Jeongguk hands him something then.

He takes it blindly, soft fabric under his fingers. When he looks down he can make out that’s his shirt. 

“Oh.. thanks.” 

If he decided to bring it then that probably means.. no more texting.

Maybe the picture went too far then. 

He almost pouts, but Jeongguk doesn’t walk off. He just stands there, in front of him. Menacingly. 

“You uh.. want to come in?” 

He’s very happy that didn’t even come out desperate, that was honestly the most aloof way of inviting Jeongguk in. Props for himself.

Jeongguk shakes his head.

And then he doesn’t leave.

So, now what?

Jimin blinks a few times, waits for any part of his brain that still is functioning to say something clever but everything is just: fuck, biker outfit, Jeongguk in leather, mmmh, sleeve tattoo, gloves, fuck nghh

What does not help at all, is how Jeongguk takes a step closer to him, so close that he needs to tilt his head up just a bit, at that intimidating helmet.

His stomach flips. This is the horniest he’s been and he’s had Jeongguk’s dick against his crack for god’s sake. It takes him everything not to climb this man like a tree.

There are a gentle two tugs on the hem of his shirt. 

He looks down, that gloved up hand clutching the fabric.

Jeongguk moves his hand up to the sleeve then, tugs on that twice as well.

He wants his shirt.

..

Fuck.

A rush of heat spreads through his veins, and all he can do is nod once, ability to speak currently down at level 0. 

Even though he’s in his door opening for the entire neighbourhood to see, he slowly lifts his shirt over his head, face flushed as he offers it to Jeongguk.

He’s got no idea what this guy is thinking at all, with his helmet completely cutting him off from facial expressions, but the way Jeongguk waits a few seconds until he takes his shirt sends another shiver down his spine.

It feels sort of like a humiliation ritual, but he’s burning hot either way. Maybe Hoseok was right.

Instead of leaving right away, Jeongguk brings his gloved up hand up, turns his head a little, taps against his helmet right where his cheek would be, and waits.

Oh fuck— 

Heat rushes down between his legs, and fuck he’s glad he’s got his old shirt to hide his crotch area. 

He leans in, presses a kiss on the helmet. 

Jeongguk seems satisfied with that, walks back to his motorcycle parked on the pavement, and takes off with his shirt clutched in his hand.
