Sorry about the delay on the latest Humanity Lost page. It’s a large splash page, so it was always going to take longer than a standard one. I like these big establishing shots being something that people want to flick back to in the physical book.

You’ve already seen the linework, but I’ve been adding a lot during the colouring phase, extra layers which give the scene depth. That includes zero-gravity dispersed clouds with large water masses at their centre that refract the background light. The alien flora is also taking time, as it’s highly textured and uses a multicoloured scheme, similar to yellow and blue mould.

I’m very pleased with how it’s coming together and I’m looking forward to showing it to you early next week. In the meantime, have a great weekend and a good Easter 🐣
