Children of Ruin (commission). (Patreon)

Here’s a commission that I just completed for a patreon by the name of Adam Forrest.

Adam wanted me to illustrate a scene from the Adrian Tchaikovsky series Children of Time, or more specifically children of Ruin. It’s the scene where the crew are investigating a mysterious signal coming from a derelict space station, they run into an old environment suit which springs to life and goes for them, it’s puppeteered by an alien life form made up of black goo. I payed close attention to how the scene was described in the children of ruin, sticking as close to the text as I could, but innovating where there were gaps.

All of the designs are my own, as I couldn’t find any art online of what I was tasked with drawing online. If there are any fans of the Children of Time series here, let me know what you think.
