Hey Richard, Losté actually doesn’t speak English in the lore, he speaks U.E. standard which is an English derived language, a bit like newspeak from 1984. Of course for the story I’ve translated it all to English because otherwise it’d be unreadable. How he communicates with the aliens is through his BMI (brain machine interface). Belfast (his AI companion) translates for him in real time. Belfast is also connected to his suits speakers, so he can translate Losté’s responses. when I make the edit to the PDF today or tomorrow I’ll add in a caption to issue 2 to clarify this for the reader, I’ve had a few people ask about it.
