This is a very exciting time in my life right now, it’s always a strange feeling when you leave a job, particularly one which you’ve worked for quite some time. It’s like leaving a chunk of your life behind but at the same time, transitioning into a new phase in your life. My girlfriend has also just gone on holiday to America for two weeks, so I’m going to have so much time on my hands, I hope you all are ready for a lot more Humanity Lost!

I wish you the best. You are a great inspiration. Humanity Lost is the best comic I've read in years! I feel like you are just getting started, how exciting.

I secretly hoped deicid would be deep on space and we would see more of the world in this universe.but wait if deicid a major rebel has his base on chiron then why didnt the empire just crumble it and terraform the planet

Procyon17

But the city look dope

Thanks so much for the kind words, thank you even more for your support, this is only possible because of generous people like yourself. Oh for sure, I’m only getting started, things really kick off this issue as we get into the flow of the larger narrative of Humanity Lost.

CallumStephenDiggle

It’s a good question and I have actually addressed it in other posts, I’ll explain again here. The Imperium focused its efforts in the direction of more immediate known threats, for example, the conglomerate, the Kolaxans and the Gord. Which if you look at the galaxy map in the bonus tag, you’ll see where those battle lines are drawn. The All-mother is unaware of the significance of Chiron, she thinks it’s still a Chantauri dominated world and doesn’t see it as a pressing front for her to focus her efforts. After all, the Chantauri aren’t even a space faring species. I know having your base of operations on a planets surface is pretty silly when you have the option not to (gravity wells are for suckers and all that) and that space is the ultimate high ground, but sometimes you just have to take some artistic liberties haha I really wanted to draw this idea I’ve had in my head for a long time of the world egg space elevator and the ringed tiered city.

Thomas Rørby Petersen

I am so exited for you, Cal, and for us fans and readers as well :D I love your drawings of the world egg. It looks so real and monumental!

S. Fish

My dude, you are cranking this incredible quality out at a prodigious rate! Remember to take time for yourself too!

Mateo

Calum, great work as always. Off topic: I'm currently reading Cixin Liu's Three Body Problem, a good Sci Fi novel it is actually three books. I recommend it as well for ya'll Sci Fi lovers.

Cartoon dinosaur

ah space elevator, nice. do you by chance watch kurzgesagt? because they have a fantastic video on space elevators!!!

CallumStephenDiggle

I used to watch that channel yeah, I remember liking their video on space hooks too, I might find a way to fit one of those into Humanity Lost at some point.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks mate! Oh yes I’ve heard of that book, I haven’t read it but I know there’s a lot of buzz surrounding it. Maybe I’ll pick it up, I’ve got an awfully big to-read pile to get through though mind 😅

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks so much man, there will be another page finished tomorrow, I’m half way through it as of writing this message. Thank you for you concern, I take a little time here and there to exercise, get lunch and whatnot, I’m careful not to get burnout. Tbh at the moment I’m just so excited to work on the book because we’re getting closer and closer to a really good bit that I can’t wait to share with you all.

CallumStephenDiggle
