This is amazing! I’ve been on the edge of my seat for this whole confrontation!

Fernando Ruiz

Ahhhhh!!! thrilling, someone saves Deicide T-T

Miningation

Oughrighadd’s eye is very intimidating.

CallumStephenDiggle

You’ve been on the edge of your seat for a while then haha! that’s great to hear, thank you 🙏

Cartoon dinosaur

does Deicide refer to him as a son as in litterly or like how priests refer to there churches followers as there children?

Haladrias

i love the way you handle the lighting with the energy sword, especially with the myriad of details on the sons face.

Ryan

Man that “if” is such a cool line on the frame

Samurott1922

I never even considered the possibility of them having children, I just kinda assumed the All Mother discarded the ability to procreate. The plot thickens.

CallumStephenDiggle

Oh they’re not his literal offspring, he’s an overfather so he just refers to his underlings as children and son. Although Uthipidus is a bit closer to being a son to him than other entities in the universe but you’ll find out all about that backstory later on… 😉

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks so much, I spend a lot of time on the lighting, so I’m glad it didn’t go unnoticed

Anthony Pratt

Is Oughrighadd’s energy sword powered by the Flux or some other exotic material? I'm not sure if the Flux dimension functions exclusively as a means of travel, or if can be used as a power source as well. Either way, it's such an awesome plot device man 👏

CallumStephenDiggle

Hey, it’s actually exotic matter from ANOTHER dimension that is used in imperium weaponry. Oh yeah Flux particles are used for energy purposes as well, like generators or reactors. Thanks so much, I’ll be introducing more dimensions/universes later down the line, one of which is called the “SLOW” but more on that later.

Ah, I skipped this page and got confused... Speaking of which, this page seems to not be included in the chapter 4 folder! Also, all of this is amazing and I'm loving it.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks for alerting me to that I’ll add the tag now! Thanks so much, I’m really glad you’re enjoying it. There will be a new page up later today, a cutaway of a spaceship.

Extremely cool. Are there any imperial drones that can fuse together not as a passenger/vehicle role, but to fight as a single unit? I Would be delighted to see something like Devastator from Transformers 2, but in all this fleshy, posthuman glory.

CallumStephenDiggle

I haven’t designed anything like that thus far but now that you’ve said it I’d quite like to include something of that ilk in the future, do you have any ideas you want to share that you’ve had?

http://www.robotpark.com/academy/PG/Self_Reconfiguring_Modular_Robots.jpg A real life example would be modular, self assembling robots. They're not as sophisticated as the ones we see in fiction(yet) but research is advancing quickly. As for situations involving them... Let's say for example that a large imperial drone - humanoid or insect like in form - gets one of its limbs cut off. Then that cut off limb starts to move and fight by itself and unfolds a smaller set of limbs, revealing itself to be a unit that can act and fight by itself. On the other end, I'm imagining something like a group of small drones going up against an obstacle - a tough enemy, a fast vehicle, etc - and they combine and fuse together to form a larger body that is stronger, faster, and better suited for the task at hand. Or, a large drone composed of smaller drones splits and reassebles its body completely for a different task, seemingly ripping itself apart and fusing together again. The drone group wouldn't have a new hive mind or something - the allfathers and AM would not allow this - but would work as a very compact fighting formation. The combination of fleshy bodies has enough potential, especially since this trope is almost exclusively done with machines in fiction.
