He’s really really old dude, these help him get around and help keep him alive. They’re pretty outdated but he keeps in all working himself, he’s a bit of a wiz.

Stephen thank you so much for replying to my previous comments,your choice of the paintings in the Wizard's room is great, if I'm not mistaken they are by a Polish painter, they have a very Lovecraftian aesthetic, like the Allmother and his Imperium, with the prediction I came close, the wizard is more of a cyberman :)

the Wizard is heartless, he hires Sam / Lostè for a deadly job, makes him a wanted man and pays him back with a one-way ticket to Chiron, the only "safe" place for him. the beauty is that Lostè is the luckiest man in the room seeing the destiny of mankind.

Whenever they mention the Wizard I always think "the wizard will now install the software" which I guess works here too with all their implants

So..... further before the Imperium, we already ended up augmenting ourselves to the point we are more less to our human characteristics. And what the malevolent AI did is just complete that cycle or fully achieve it? How sad and symbolic for us, if All - Mother, being birthed from our hands, does basically our spitting image. Being human.

The wizard is an idiosyncratic individual, so many of his behaviours and beliefs are quite eccentric and out there. I like your theory though!

DAMN! That’s one hell of a theory! I like it a lot, I’ll seriously consider adding that in. I have another market scene planned for volume two, he could make his appearance there. You’ve really got my imagination going now, I’ll see if I can integrate him smoothly into the plot. Yeah I imagine he’d just have a tank with his brain and a few organs in and the rest will be mechanical. I’ll likely use the same helmet piece so he’s recognisable as a character. I’ll think it over man, this was a great comment!

Yes, great comment, I have a speech planned for Belfast in issue 6 where he talks about this idea of the All-Mother just being the natural result of the path that humanity was heading down.
