It's rather (ironically?) funny that because 'Sam's' profession of being a Private Investigator / Spy allows him to easily keep using his 'Lost'e' identity not because he needs(?)* the fake identity, but because it would be more convenient for his new friends / associates It's a pretty weird complication to mix into his 'Rip Van Winkle' / Isekai situation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rip_Van_Winkle *Could the Cyberhacking stuff 'The Wizard' stuffed into Sam / Lost'e have some relevance later...?

Do they feel a bit wanting when they saw what being human feels like through Loste? Being completely transformed to what you once were after centuries, and then you discover that information you didn't knew some time later after you were born(or created). It must feel like being blind, and then you suddenly had the ability to see the world after 50 years.

I think it fuels their hatred for the All-Mother in many regards, one reason being the one you mentioned, another being that she lied to them. You can imagine for an Over-Father, accepting that your god lied to you is a huge step. It’s a massive barrier to tear down and it leads to a run away series of thoughts that pass from resentment and eventually to hatred. For Uthipidus it’s a bit different though, he has a fascination with pre-Imperium humanity, so I think for him it’s mostly exciting and interesting.
