2026-09-18 21:00 Very awesome. It's good to get a little exposition, especially after what you've shown us. Now, for us it's weeks, but for the reader of the book for this first time, this is happening faster, so it's a good segue I think.

Thanks as always, Rich! Yeah that’s very true, it will of course unfurl quicker for the reader of the physical book, but a benefit for readers of the Patreon is that they get to sit with the page for a bit long and consider it a bit more. Personally I like how people linger with each page for a bit on here, rather than just reading it and flipping to the next one. I spend a lot of time and effort on each one and it’s nice for me to know that people are at least giving it a good look.

I’m happy to hear that you think so! I do understand though that many people joined up for the more science fiction elements of HL like non-humanoid aliens and post-humans, so I’ll be getting back to that shortly. But yes, there’ll be a lot more character work going forwards and I get that there just wasn’t enough in that first volume.
