Here it is, at long last.

It may not look like it, but environments like this take a lot of time to construct. There’s a lot of perspective planes going on here.

Either way I’m really happy with how it turned out and I’m looking forward to seeing it all coloured up.

Awesome stuff! I’m curious about the monster ship that captured their ship and all those others in a field, what’s up with those guys? Looking forward!

cubirk

wait but didnt he leave stasis already? why is he going into stasis again?

Miningation

he blacked out because of his traumatic episode and wasn’t put under stasis. the stasis pod you saw around him during said episode was a hallucination

cubirk

i dont know lets see what dingle says

You’ll find out all about those guys, that’s coming soon. Cheers, Andre!

Miningation is correct, sorry for any confusion! That sequence where you say Losté back in his old stasis pod was just part of a PTSD flashback he was suffering from. Either way, this page clears that up a bit.

So if Over-fathers are not immortal, how long of a lifespan do they have?

Miningation

Losté went to sleep for at least 400 years, so we know that Deicide is at most that. Overfathers can also replace limbs at their womb world, so you could avoid potential cancers and whatnot through ‘replacement’. not sure about the brain, but chances are it can be replaced. this probably takes death by old age out of the question. i suppose it depends on whether their brain has a ‘storage limit’ so to speak. i guess this would be considered death to them? unless you make a completely new brain that is, so essentially the overfather does die. of course this is all just guesswork and i have no clue whether or not anything i just said was valid but I guess we’ll see

Cool the stasis chambers! After this long sleep who knows how the course of the war will change

They live approximately 300 years, though not all of that is in their current form. In their last stage of life, they go through a process of metamorphosis and transform into a ‘lord of thought’. In their final stage they return back to the centre of the Imperium and defend their All-Mother. It’s like retirement for them, but they get to be with their god after a lifetime of service to her. You’ll actually see some Lords of thought later this issue. Deicide is part of the third generation of Over-Fathers, this places him at 102 years of age. He was born 300 years After the activation of the All-Mother.
