The best part about this book being funded by you lovely people is that I don’t have the deadlines I would have if I was employed by a publisher. There isn’t anyone looking over my shoulder forcing me to cut corners for the sake of time, I’m able to take the time to produce the best possible book that I can and I’m so grateful to you for that.

Again though, sorry about the wait, but I’m sure you can see that I put down a whole lot of marks for this page. The colours won’t take nearly as long as a the layouts and the line-work, so the coloured page will likely be up on Patreon by tomorrow night. The colours are really going to make this pop I feel.

Reminds me of the Warthog from Halo!

CallumStephenDiggle

Yeah, it’s based off that classic bungie design. I wanted my own in-universe equivalent.

Peter Georgiev

Daaaaaamn, that is impressive linework

Miningation

Deicide is wandering through the moon like “there was a f***ing massacre here”

Davide

Looks like a battle between the UE and Doggerland, more and more interesting! Much better not to have deadlines, art benefits from it for the lack of stress and little time ;)

Planetace

Probably the fact that after the AM was activated, she was given instructions to "unite humanity under our rule" as a sort of beginning task to see her functionallity. The UE then used her vast superintelligence and resources to predict and utterly decimate the non-controlled populace so to bring in their resources for the war.

CallumStephenDiggle

Lots of interesting stuff happened before the events of the main story. Eventually I’ll get to them, there are a few main events that I’d really like to explore in the future. Oh absolutely dude!

Gabu

These troops gotta be awfully brave or crazy, knowing that any one bullet hole could end their life support!

Gabu

recognize that mech from the inside of the lunar lava tubes in Chapter 4. Definitely U.E.

CallumStephenDiggle

Oh for sure! Luckily the U.E. Forces have their Brain machine interfaces to regulate their emotions and keep them calm in the situation.

Davide

If so, truly humanity served itself on a silver platter to the chains of the All-Mother

Miningation

are those U.E or Doggerland soldiers because the U.E armour looks a little more roundish than I remember. Maybe their surface and underground suits are different

Shawn Bond

The line work is amazing alone. Well worth the wait, bro.

“What’s in the boxxxx”, the anticipation must be killing you 😂. Thanks so much, Richard! Ive really been pushing myself these past few pages to see what I can produce at my current skill level.

Love the variety in layout and action design

You've done substantially well. I looked back on Vol. 1 and there's a night and day difference in the quality. Not to suggest that Vol. 1 is not awesome - it is. I can just see where the dedication to the craft has delivered you, and it excites me. It's one of the reasons why I'm a patron! That being said, I wonder what a "revamp" of Vol. 1 to your more honed skills would look like. I'm not sure what the protocol is for that, or if publishers like to see that kind of transition. I personally find it pretty cool, but I'm biased lol.

CallumStephenDiggle

Oh absolutely, I take no offence at all, I’m well aware of that. If anything Humanity Lost should serve as an inspirational project for new and aspiring artists who want to get into Comics, it will show them that an artist doesn’t come into the scene fully formed and that you really have to work at it to get better, like all things really. I’d actually be really interested in doing a “revamp” and if there is the interest/demand there once I’ve finished HL, then I will! Heh cheers, Richard 😁 I appreciate it mate.
