Here it is again with colour.

The Idea with that T.O.A.D (Terestrial. Omni-. Aquatic. Drivable.) vehicle is that it’s an all-environments vehicle that’s just an absolute workhorse that’s ubiquitous across the extent of the United Earth’s empire. It’s mass produced and can be found just about everywhere that a U.E flag flies. As the name states, it can travel by land, by water, but it can also be driven in the hard vacuum of space. It has RCS (reaction control system) thrusters all over its body, so it can reorient itself if it happens to catch some particularly impressive air time after a big jump. Oh and when traversing watery environments, the wheels can flip round and transform into propellers.

Curious to find out who these "giants" are...

Justin Huynh

The huge figures that Deicide floats past after exiting his drop ship and before entering the emergency portal. :)

Miningation

it’s just the doggerland trooper close-up

Peter Georgiev

Aren't those Breimheinians. I would guess that these are remenants of a battlefield from the war?

Justin Huynh

If you look at page 182, the big guy kneeling looks a lot bigger and more humanoid than a Breimheinian 🤔

Miningation

those are U.E mechs (I don’t know what they’re called) and he’s referring to the seemingly massive doggerland trooper on the final panel

Miningation

that is NOT how you open the Emergency Surface Hatch

Gabu

Doggerland mech suit, but looks scary like a giant! Especially all tattooed up with the embossed decals!

Gabu

Eeeesh, I just notices the brutal death of the UE mech pilot at the entrance…. in living colour…

cubirk

it need like a half wall or a full capsule around the vehicle a vehicle with 0 armor is kind of obsolete even a guy with a sling could do some damage

Erika Spooner

Who says it didn't have armour that was stripped off at some point?

Darnell

Just forced perspective I believe bruv

CallumStephenDiggle

Ah yes, that’s not a giant, it’s a mech suit. It’s called a Thunor suit, it’s the Doggerland equivalent of the U.E. mech that you see on the most recent page.

CallumStephenDiggle

Aye, it’s really just a cheap mass produced moving platform. The U.E. cares very little for the life of an individual soldier.

Miningation

i suppose offence is the defence here as those 50. Cals at the front would probably shoot down anyone who tried to get a shot in

Davide

Very intelligent vehicle!

House Hendoe

Warthog vs Mechs... No wonder Daggerland breached Luna. Viking Mechwarriors with that personal armor design must've had quite the psychological effect in combat. Makes me think this Military Culture would have awesome pre and post combat mass formations, doing a Viking Clap similar to how NZ units would do a Haka.

Meggie

Forget cybertruck. Gib me TOAD

CallumStephenDiggle

Absolutely, you’d feel fierce wearing that armour or piloting that mech with your kóryos band around you backing you up. Aye, they’d have an equivalent to the infamous Haka, something like a drug enhanced berserker ritual.

Marcos

Your work is amazing! I am a little lost in the factions of the humans as I noticed that the uniforms from the previous page and this page are different. These uniforms are the same from Loste memories but I don't get where the uniforms from the previous page are coming from. I thought at first that the big thing from the previous page was an alien because of the huge hands and kind of rocketlaunchers on the shoulders (like an elcor from ME) but now I think is a human mech (because of the comments). I hope the memories get an insight about this because I feel a little lost... keep the good work!

Justin Huynh

I must've missed it - what's the Doggerland faction in this universe? Or is that a question that will be answered as this story unfolds?

CallumStephenDiggle

Hey Marcos, there is a whole history of events that happened before and after the activation of the all-mother including World War III between all remaining nations. Doggerland was one of those nations that entered into war with the U.E. Government, Doggerland used the U.E.’s conflict with the conglomerate to their advantage, strategically striking while their enemy was distracted and weak. All of this isn’t really important to the ongoing narrative here though, so you don’t have to worry about that, they just serve as a stand-in to show that there was Human on Human conflict. It’s also foreshadowing for things that will come later down the line. Doggerland is that other Human faction with the intricate armour btw just in case I didn’t make that clear. Thank you!

CallumStephenDiggle

Really these Doggerland soldiers are just there to show that there was Human on Human conflict after the activation of the All-Mother. It’s not really important to the flow of the narrative of the story that you know who they were exactly. But for those who are interested in the lore, this will all be explained further down the line within the story itself, this is just a bit of foreshadowing for what’s to come.

Gabu

Stoked! I bet it jumps when it fires on the moon, ha ha!

CallumStephenDiggle

I’m going to have to add some thrusters to counteract the recoil of the main gun, good point Gabu!

Marcos

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to me. Is there a YouTube video or something about Doggerland? It looks like a lot of people knows about this already and I feel like I missed this information at some point...

CallumStephenDiggle

Of course, Marcos! I’ll always take the time to answer your questions, it’s the least I could as you support the Patreon. Hit me up if you have any more 😁 not yet there isn’t, all that exists publicly at the moment is the few posts that you can find in the “bonus” tag on Patreon. I think people are using their intuition a lot with Doggerland, piecing together the few bits of information that there are out there from other posts. I answered a few questions in the comments section of the Doggerland map post on Patreon, there’s some more information there. But I can answer more of your questions on Doggerland if you have any.
