I’m back!

sorry about the wait, I was silly to think I could get this coloured in a single day. Which makes sense considering it’s a two page spread, so it should realistically take twice as long. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve got planned for the next few pages and the rest of issue 6, big stuff is coming.

I think utmost would be grammatically over upmost. Utmost concerns degree and upmost concerns position. So utmost reverence would be correct over upmost.

Thanks! It’s my line of thinking that the Thought-Lords are in their final form/final stage of life and that they’ll die in their suits. Their suits are just as much a tomb as they are a suit.

It might have been answered elsewhere, but what is the lifespan of an over-father? I'm also assuming that they are the only independent human intelligences in the empire, due to the necessity of needing administrators and generals capable of independent assessment and response to situations as they arise?

Over-Father’s live for 290 years and then they transition into Thought-Lords to live out their final 20 years of life standing as honour guard within the All-Mothers defensive membrane (Earth). They are the only units capable of independent thought, although they still have the constant subtle influence of the All-Mother over their minds. It is as you said, they are like generals.

OH MY GODD I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY, THIS IS SO AWESOME LOOKINGGGG. One thing I want to say over all the things that is currently going in my mind about this page, the thought Lords look like coffins, and if they are supposed to be former overfathers, are the coffins suits that they'll live in forever and they manifest their powers with those limbs. I feel like their tentacle-like arm gestures emphasizes the destiny of whoever opposes them. Dead.

In the previous issue we saw an Overfather jump from an airship, hit the ground hard enough to make a crater, and survived a bomb going off in his face.

Haha thanks as always Isaac! Their Sarcophagus suits are their final suits that they will die in. They use their armours tentacles to focus their energy, like a wand in Harry Potter or a wizards staff in Lord Of The Rings.

I can't get over how metal the thought-lords are, just as a concept. The idea of a species so peerlessly overpowered that they graduate to a god-like entity of wisdom and illimitable force in the final stage of their life is so conceptually rich and fascinating, that I believe I'm going to have these figures in my head for at least the next 97 hours consecutively. This is now become a core memory.

It would most likely be violent and feral, they are programmed with a mission and they’d try to fulfil that mission by any means. It’s instinctual for them, like an animal that knows what to do even if they were never taught to do so. I don’t know if the Conglomerate would be able to get around that, because it’s ingrained into them on a biological level as they are grown.

I'm so curious about the various hand positions the thought-lords are doing. What point does that serve? It feels very good, like the strange border between science and magic. Perhaps knowing exactly how they function would evaporate the mystery.

Honestly, the hand symbols have no particular significance at the moment, however I’m sure I could come up with some lore reason for them I’m sure. It was more that I was just really feeling the drawing and they just sort of happened to come out that way.

I really like it—It makes me so curious. But It might not need a hard lore, maybe it's better to exist just for style points. I imagine that the digit configuration somehow focuses psychic energy
