I wonder why the All-Mother uses beam-weapons instead of growing seed-pod things and firing them at targets.

The design of the Thought Lords is sick! It's very eerie that the Imperium uses human bodies as the basis for their technology. Reminds me of the cosmic horror of All Tomorrows and the disturbing illustrations that it inspired. Genetic mutation surely is the All-Mother's favorite and most degrading weapon.

I wonder if the carapace of an Imperium trooper can withstand bullets, the All-Mother is likely smart enough to come up with some absurdly strong material that can resist anti-material rifles or something.
