the Pekt's bioluminescence is incredible, so cool their initial multiple-moons civilazation, and the Soeus are very interesting, the combining name of their planets is funny: Jo Sollus

out of all the species in Humanity Lost, the Soeus are probably the scariest for me just because there’s something about that mouth that really puts me on edge

Not likely, they assume more senior roles within the Conglomerate, they have a few privileges being the founder species. You’ll see them in certain military spacecraft though. Who knows, maybe there are some elite Soeus soldiers that enter the battlefield in flying power suits or something, but generally speaking, they’re quite a frail species. Why use them as soldiers when you can use more naturally well suited races like the Yarkeen or the Briemheinians.

Agh! Love the world building! Imagine a civilization among our Jovian moons! I’d love to see so of these guys talking, maybe a funny animation style like “StarCrafts” on YouTube. Also, I spy with my little eye some “a” that should be “an air intake”. Maybe run this text thru Word or Pages🤷🏻‍♂️

Do the Soeus move around when not flying by slithering along? Or do they sort of flop forward like a fish?

How exactly did the Soeus absorb the Pekt? Was it like a benevolent helping hand as they did with the Briemheinians, or did they forcefully expand their empire?

They can probably bounce alone on the tips of their wings and tail. I imagine slithering might hurt their “bellies”.

The Gherra are indeed next! I can see what you mean, but no, they are a member species, a peripheral one at that.

Well non of the Conglomerate’s expansion is in any way benevolent or altruistic, it will only include a species within the alliance if there is something to be gained from it. The assimilation of the Pekt was a relatively peaceful endeavour though. Of course there were terrorist and separatist factions within the Pekt, but they ultimately amounted to nothing.

Editing note before printing hopefully: in the Soeus “a aerodynamic point” should be “an” And the illustration note landing on their “ling tips” is probably “wing tips”
