phew! That top left panel took some time 😅 some news regarding publishing:I’ve just received an offer from a large publishing company, I’m going to see if they can confirm a deal with me. Unfortunately this is going to push back the release of the book a little bit because I was ready to drop the book this week without a publisher. I wanted to see if publishing with them could end up being better for me, I’m sure you understand. Sorry for the delay, it’s coming soon, I promise.

anyways, there’s two more info graphics to come and then I’ll get back to issue 7!

so the cities of the Bo were basically just giant scaffolds that could hold infrastructure and transport? very unique idea, I love it

Gabu

Like if arboreal chimps became the dominant ape instead of us!

Jeridan Kowal

Congrats on the offer man, well deserved!

Patrick Perkins

Whatever situation works out for you and gets the story out there is great! Congrats Callum :) On another note, I count 1.5 bipeds out of 8 (not counting imperium/humans, and counting Xempouri as .5 because it's speculative). I love how distant everything is from human physiology.

Gabu

Yes! Excited to hear if the publisher fits your ambitions! Good to know you can walk away from the table since you were gonna self publish, so negotiate well, brother man!

Erika Spooner

What do you think it was like for the expedition that tried to find the Xepouri homeworld?

Kevin

Poor Bo. Loosing their world and now being hunted. Yikes.

Davide

Damn poor aliens, fuck the All-Mother. I'm happy for you Stephen for the publishing company's offer don't worry about delay

Vovin

Xepouri in design kinda remind me of Elder Things from Lovecraft's mythos. Was it intentional?

CallumStephenDiggle

That was indeed intentional, I drew them ages ago, I was kind of riffing off lovecraftian themes and I decided to integrate the species into Humanity lost as an extinct race.

CallumStephenDiggle

I know I know, it’s sad 😞 but I needed to drive home just how ruthless the imperium are. Thanks Davide, hopefully they get back to me soon because I am ready to go!

CallumStephenDiggle

It’s a sad fate but this is the future for all species if the imperium isn’t stopped.

CallumStephenDiggle

Extremely dangerous. One does not simply approach a womb-world. Its black gates are guarded by more than just drones. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a bloody wasteland, riddled with flesh and blood, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly!

CallumStephenDiggle

You’re right, I’ve got that option sitting right these, I feel confident that I can hammer out a good deal knowing that I have that fallback option. Thank you Gabu!

CallumStephenDiggle

Exactly! Imagine how different architecture would look if chimps had took centre stage on Earth.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thank you Pat, I feel the same way. I’ve worked to hard to complete the book, I just want to get my baby out there and into peoples hands. Haha yes! Humanity Lost was essentially born out of my dissatisfaction as a science fiction fan for always seeing aliens represented as merely humanoids, even when they didn’t have to be because of better CGI. Thanks!

Ryan

Calm down Boromir
