Doomsday Pivot! will be coming to RoyalRoad within the next few days, I will be making a separate post when it launches there.

AGARES release 9 is basically ready, I'm just tuning it, and am aiming for Wednesday. Unfortunately I forgot that I'm incapable of simply releasing chapters of something that's already been written and edited, since I have to reread and re-edit to be happy with it.

(Apologies if the PDF or EPUB downloads have issues, this is just the naïve copy downloaded from GDocs with a script run to remove some CSS issues that GDocs adds to EPUB. I lost the old script I used to use and had to remake it, so hopefully this still works, as it looks fine on my machine.)

Epub export looks good for me!

Thank you for the new chapters!

Enjoying it. The whole post-apocalypse maintaining of order thing is always interesting, and the psychology of the different characters and how they react. Interesting to have a protagonist who is analyzing the system critically.

If it wasn't for the title and you having mentioned concerns about the startup stuff affecting marketability, I wouldn't have really twigged it as being *about* startups per se. Just that the main character had worked in one and that influences his thinking about things. If you're worried about the marketability you could maybe just change the title and make that element a bit less explicit or have it treated more as a quirk of him and done a bit more tongue in cheek?

Thanks for the content, this is fun! I was a bit worried about your status for a while there until I found you were still active on Discord and Tumblr. I just came back to checking reading material on Patreon after reading through Dune, and couldn't help but wonder what Perry would have done (or would have thought about) if he found himself on Arrakis. What a set of powers and world of conflict that would be for a thresholder! I get that it's hard to force creative output, and hope you had a great summer and are getting back in the swing of things inside as early sunsets and cold fall rains push us northerners back to indoor hobbies. It's a lot easier to take some time to sit at a keyboard when it's not 70 and sunny outside! Looking forward to getting back into AGARES soon too, it's been long enough that I'll need to do a little re-read to remember where we were.

Squirrelmorph is hilarious and so broken. Combined they have 2x your strength at level 2? 10x at level 10? Looking forward to the swole squirrels. What about a squirrel collective that's collectively many times Paul's intelligence? Squirrel hivemind is how we get to superintelligence, unfortunately their terminal goal is collecting nuts before winter.
