Thanks for all the kind words on this, it definitely validates my decision to post this instead of letting it sit in a drawer. I'm trying to split the chapters up so that they're in coherent narrative chunk, and so that I can give them a second and third editing pass before they go up. RoyalRoad release next Monday!

Enjoying it - could you include the ebook export too if it's ridiculously easy for you?

Yes, I can, it's easy but the quality of the epub/PDF is pretty low, I'll set up the workflow and try to remember how I did the fixes in the past.

Really interesting! Looking forward to the next chapters. The pacing is also very pleasant.

Liking this story, moves very quickly and a ton of the worldbuilding implications are just left for the reader to ponder, since events keep coming fast and furious so there's no time to think. In a sense it's frenetic, but on the other hand it's a nice change of pace from the sedate (brooding, even) pace of other works. Joon used to wonder about if other people had the Game Overlay system, how would that change the world, and...it looks like it's not good! I kinda see what you mean about mining the VC/startup mindset, where it's one of the real-world analogues to training for a role as Protagonist, versus many people end up as "NPCs" - a fine and necessary role in mundane life, but poorly suited to games of death. Reminds me a bit of the beginning of SAO.
