Shorter release this time. Next Monday will be the conclusion of Book 1 of Doomsday Pivot!, then I plan to roll straight into Book 2, which already has some chapters written for it. Chapter release will switch to MWF single chapters.

Why would the car alarm go off from a mere two inch drop if its unlocked and the keys are in the ignition? That makes no sense. Also, if Charlotte is having such a hard time with the hike, why doesn't Nat give her the enhancement? He's used it offensively as a debuff, but he can still apply it to someone else as a buff.

It’s a car alarm, if it’s anything like my neighbour’s car it goes off if you look at the car for too long. As for the enhancement, he probably didn’t think of it.

A little weird that he spent all that time thinking of the power he'll need very soon, but didn't bother checking on his level ups to see if he could make some selections. Running over Mr. Lifedrinker had to have helped him there. I guess it might have just been an awkward place to add a "numbers go up" section, though.

Amusing how absolutely busted some skills are compared to others. Nat doth protest too much about Sentinel, but Ricochet...my God, that's lethality and scouting, on top of ignoring several kinds of cover. One can start to understand why he was disappointed! Perhaps Georgie isn't merely sulking, maybe he's going through the "accept the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception" thing where suddenly the world looks a lot more fragile, especially squishy people. The exact twist I anticipated based on last batch's ending did not come to pass (yet?), but even so, Charlotte is acting...weird. Half suspect this ties into where Jake and Britta have gone too. If they're not dead, but neither Nat nor Georgie can spot them in like a half mile radius while covering a lot of ground...eager to see how this plays out next time.
