EREN?! Man a lot of these episodes have my head spinning trying to keep up lol. We get more perspective from Reiner here, how they lost Marcel and how things really fell apart for them. Its crazy to see them actually as straight children when they first attacked. Crazy that that was the plan, to send in kids to retrieve the founding Titan. And really seeing more of the Warrior conflict within Reiner... I can't imagine how this convo with Eren is about to go 😭😭 Also after filming all the Tybur family stuff is really starting to sink in, though I'm still unsure about what he's about to do... Idk these first 4 episodes have been mind blowing already. I'm excited and nervous. But mostly excited.......

A MASSIVE tip I have for you while watching this from here on out is try not to pick a side, but try to understand each sides perspective based on the information you know/learn. It becomes a much more enjoyable (and painful) experience when you can enjoy each character for their individual development based on their specific situation and the environment they have been molded by.

idk if you guys remember but the old man's story that he was telling bert is what bert used as his own origin in season one. same imagery, just with bert instead of the man in the picture. it's what he used as his excuse and where he came from

Something really interesting is that Colt is actually acting just like Marcel, most of the time we see him in these episodes he’s seen talking up/praising Gabi, saying things like “Falco will never pass her”, really he’s just trying to protect him just like Marcel did for Porco, because Falco will be an Honorary Marleyan anyway

Love the discussion at the beginning. You guys make great points. And just to reiterate, I am on the Eldians' side, specifically Paradis Eldians. Not too sure about the Marleyian Eldians despite my favorite character being Reiner. Marley shouldn't be effing racist if they don't want to catch these hands. I was just presenting why the hate isn't completely unfounded. People have a right to be suspicious of people who can morph into monsters as many watchers simply use a certain historical event as an unfair comparison. And to add to that, it's not just that Eldians can be forced to turn like people on the wall. They can be propagandized like Gabi or incentivized like Falco. It's leads a lot of room for things to go wrong, even if you have people who are well intentioned holding titans in order to keep the peace. Side note to that: You would have to pass down the titan power. Not only would you have to have trustworthy, decent people every 13 years for every one of the nine, you would also have to hope that the carrier isn't killed or die of other causes. That leads to the power going to a random Eldian baby. There are a lot of variables to consider. Great point about other countries would hate them more as the titans are actively being used against them. I hadn't thought of it that way, but it does lead more credence to the idea that people that can become titans aren't necessarily trustworthy. Is it their choice? Not really. But are they dangerous whether they like it or not? Yeah, kinda. Add in that people think the devil gave them that power and I don't know that there is any real way for all countries to just leave Paradis alone. To another point, I'm a tried and true Zeke apologist, but I can understand why people feel for Grisha. The kid was just a kid though and didn't want to die because his dad being a radical. Also, Grisha highkey sucks so...

Not sure if this has already been commented, but at around 17:47, when Annie wakes up in Wall Rose, you get a flash of Eren, Armin, and Mikasa huddled in the background. Earlier on in the show, episode 2 I believe, we see the Warrior Trio in the crowd around the crew. Reiner and Bert when the monologue about the people being sent outside the wall happens and Annie is seen collecting food at the same time Armin is giving Eren and Mikasa the bread his grandpa got them. Easter eggs are everywhere in this show :)

Although I agree that they weren’t wrong for teaching him the correct history, Grisha himself said he never saw Zeke as his son, he was their pawn. You can’t blame a neglected child to understand the weight of his actions.

Plus she saved i believe Connie, as well as it was clearly VERY hard for her to kill Marco, we see her distress. There are some things I can’t forgive her for but when you see how young and abused she was, it all makes sense even the bad parts. Love Annieee
