Hey Folks,

So I know those of you who are here for Steven Universe Reactions already know this, but it's now going to be applicable to ALL Patreon uploads. I am no longer reading the comments on ANY Patreon videos.

The release of RWBY yesterday had my poor modding team pulling their hair out with how many hints, spoilers etc there were. It's just going to be too much to keep on top of, especially since moderators cannot remove comments on Patreon (what's the point of mods then Patreon? Huh?). So all they can do is reply back and ask people to remove their comments.

In a desperate attempt to avoid spoilers, hints etc I will only be reading comments on videos on Youtube when they go live. This because my mods can actually remove the comments there.

Rest assured ****if any of you are SERIOUSLY attempting to post major spoilers here though and my mods report you to me, you WILL see yourself banned from my Patreon.****

So going forward please be very careful with the information you post in a comment here, or just save your comments for the videos on Youtube.

If you're in my discord server, we can regularly chat about the show there :D as my mods also have powers to remove things there too.

TL;DR: I won't be reading / engaging with ANY comments on Patreon anymore (unless its to remove / ban / report members). If you want to leave me a comment I will see, post it on Youtube when it comes out or chat to me in the discord server.

Jergin

I will never understand people's need to spoil a show for someone else new to it. It's so scummy

Alex Koder

Aw man. I hate when folks do that.

Sarah Stephens

Im here for rwby (and more hopefully) I can never understand why fans feel the need to try to ruin it. We got it without spoilers so lets not spoil it for others please

Eliteguard99

You cretins can’t help yourselves with the spoilers can you?

Corvo Joka

Dude, what the heck? It's not hard to not post spoilers!... Sorry for those Knobheads, Mosco.

Robbie Thornton

I’m so sorry Mosco 😭 I really wish people would understand about this.

Angelus Lupus

Why do some people have to ruin things? We're never gonna have a moment as epic as "Crikey" again if people can't play nice!

GreenRob

It is sad that it had to come to this. I mean why even spoil anything. If i wanna talk about something in comments i only try to allude to things and always put many spoiler warnings before so that people see it first

Joe

This is fore the best

Spadez

At least Mosco is being proactive in this idiocy that people are doing. Why spoil the reaction content by ruining the show for someone. If you are attempting to purposefully spoil shows Mosco, you are no true fan. That simple.

Liam Gradwell

Really sorry for Mosco and all the mods. It sucks, but apparently it has to be. 😢💜

Martin E Melcher

Why do people have to ruin stuff. Petty arseholes need to get their mouths slapped.

Benjamin Sones

That's really a shame. Come on, people--think before you post!

Sanmei

It's almost like a person whose full time job involves giving untarnished reactions to content they're seeing for the first time needs to avoid spoilers for the sake of providing an authentic experience. :|

EDHPlayer

People should just post trivia on the episodes. Or encourage engagement in the series, as I know people in the past were put off by the early animation and VAing. What I had to explain was that V1 was a rough start. Anyways, shame on the people who can’t let others enjoy things without being nuisances.

Table³

Very sad, but probably the only solution.

Ryan

I don't get it. Mosco gives y'all carte blanche to post **FAKE** spoilers. Surely in a fandom as enthusiastic as RWBY there were wild fan theories that never panned out that y'all could riff on endlessly. But instead some people basically post excerpts from the fan wiki. Shame! 🔔 Shame! 🔔 Shame! 🔔

Mayte8

I dont get why ppl are so eager to talk about spoilers on a post of someone reacting to the FIRST episode of a show. Im sad it had to come to this for everything you react to on patreon but i understand. I really hope patreon adds the ability to remove comments at some point

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Right? There are SO MANY possibilities just waiting to be played with. It's really sad.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Sadly, this is par for the course for the RWBY fandom. I've seen reactors recording brand-new episodes who had to preface their reactions by admitting they were spoiled for some scene just because they happened to go online the morning after the episode premiered and people were already sharing thumbnails and GIFs with reckless abandon.

Anni

everytime i see a steven universe react here and go to the comments people are like "next week you are going to be sooo surprised" "be prepared!" omg guys stop being like that if you know something shut it!! its not cool to warn people that theyre gonna be surprised cause then it wont be as much as a surprise! i thought this was so obviously that this is super lame for everyone

Fusssel

I really don't get spoiling reaction channels. I watch them to see how the react to certain scenes, how they think about the series and if they have similar theories or what theories they come up with I never thought of. Sure, I am not blame free as I remember at least one time I accedentally slipped up and had a spoiler within a longer comment I am really angry about myself, especially the reactor saw it... Wasn't big but still...

MattTOB

Exactly! Expectation spoilers are still spoilers!

Vex Valor

So many people in the comments are way less subtle than they think. You can't hint at it either. We are all grown adults here. We can use our brains to figure out what you are hinting at. When Mosco asks questions about where the story is going, they are rhetoric. You aren't actually supposed to answer them unless she actually says she wants it to be clarified to her. Hold your tongue and let her get there herself.

Chris Dryden

I don’t understand giving away any spoilers especially to reactors your who you are watching to see there reactions to things and places and people awesome, cool funny ,sad moments in shows

Ryan

I know, right? It's not hard, watch: "bad guy calls Ruby "little red" which leads to a funny callback in a later encounter after they repair the broken moon and her true lycanthrope form is revealed (a big red puppy, a la Clifford the Big Red Dog). That's why her eyes are silver!" N.B. I've been watching along with Elijah's reactions so if the above is somehow a spoiler for the later seasons I blame Apollo 🔴

Joey Quixote

*sigh* There goes one of the perks of Patreon membership. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to post a thought-out response without having to wade through a couple hundred nigh-identical comments and then being buried under several hundred more. Plot points that haven't happened- SPOILER Upcoming characters - SPOILER Hyping an episode - SPOILER Confirming a character is (good/bad, gay/straight, etc./etc.) unless it was requested by the reactor - SPOILER It's not hard. Always assume a reactor is going into a show COMPLETELY blind. Let them go on the journey. You may have had aspects of the show spoiled for you, but that doesn't mean they have.

ShadowFox1412

I don’t know why people feel the need to spoil stuff when there’s so much you can talk about and explain about the stuff currently happening and sharing all the fun theories that fans had at this point in the show. Like legit in RWBY for example the trailers gave us so many fun theories we could share that don’t actually spoil anything because you can be like “at this point in time people were theorizing that this this and this were happening. Or hell talk about how the music intertwines with the characters inner dialogue, thoughts, dreams etc.

Mr. Waspman

Well, there goes the main reason I joined Patreon, engagement. And now, for the patreon exclusive uploads, there won't be any way to leave cool facts or answer non-spoiler questions, especially since I have no idea how Discord works. Seriously, how hard is it to leave FAKE spoilers, to let a reactor have the show unfold for them to be surprised as you were. Thanks guys. 😮‍💨

Chet Bliese

Naughty spoilers! Shame!

Wee Lass Reacts

Pretty sure you were one of the people my mods replied to, to take a comment down bud LOL

Meganclare7

Yeah i try my best to only talk or comment on something that's in the episodes. I don't know why that's so hard. I know people just get excited but Mosco isn't stupid it's pretty easy to understand what you mean if you hint at something. I mean I haven't finished many things because of spoilers myself, it takes all the fun of watching stuff out. I personally already find it extremely easy to predict story plots l, and mosco is good at it too.

Ryan Hayes

People whom spoil are the worst. Sorry it has come to this point but I think you are doing the right thing. I look forward to your genuine unspoiled reactions. 💛

Kitsune Kokoro

I love RWBY, but I'm so tired of the parts of the FNDM that are so quick to give spoilers. So many people apparently think that heavy hints don't "count" as spoilers because they're not explicitly telling you what's going to happen, but you've got more than enough media literacy to pick up on what's being implied, and I wish they'd remember that. I'm sad that you have to make this choice, but I certainly can't blame you for it.

Adrian

I am genuinely unsurprised. The FNDM can be awful when it comes to things like this.

Deanie

I know the RWBY fandom is rabid, but I just don't understand why they have to spoil things for you, I know it doesn't mean much, but I'm very sorry people don't know what is and isn't a spoiler when they comment things, because it truly isn't malicious, but it ruins the fun for everyone. I Hope what you have seen wasn't too bad and hasn't ruined too much of what this wonderful show can offer you

Dinker

I'll try to take the most kind position on this and assume it's a group of people that can't go to the cinema without googling how the movie they're going to see ends.

Magikltrevr

I'm sad to see this happen since Elijah had to do the same thing with RWBY stuff. People just can't seem to help themselves, unfortunately.

Koin

That's a shame ): but at least you aren't getting spoiled

Dominique Loggins

Bump people who spoils for those that don't want to be spoiled.

deny

id love to chat in ur discord server but i got banned just for saying im excited for one episode, i just said the title i want to be back in the discord so bad nd im sorry

OziasEvren

That's really sad but also understandable 😕 it's a shame people have the need to ruin something for everyone else. Not that I've ever commented before 😅 not much for interaction but for those that do, I'm sure it's a bit disappointing for them

Wee Lass Reacts

That wasn't why you got banned. You got banned because my mods asked you to spoiler tag the name of the episode since I hadn't gotten there yet, and instead of doing it you argued, argued and argued and turned the entire thing into an ordeal. THATS why you were banned.

KittyPryde21

To be fair, Mosco did this with Steven Universe WAY before they made it Patreon wide so the Steven Universe Fans have known for awhile that Mosco wouldnt be looking at the comments there anyway, so I am sure SU comments are FULL of spoilers now. Unless of course you are talking about BEFORE Mosco put the ban on SU, then yes the spoilers were many and annoying and I totally agree!

Symbolic Remnant

FFS, The 31 flavors of dumbasses in the FNDM (and it is such a variety of dumbassery, from radical Pro-canon dumbassery to Radical Anti-canon Dumbassery, to just plain old-fashioned dumbassery) gives more normal RWBY enjoyers a bad name everywhere they go. We didn't even make it one episode without changing a reactor's policy for the less fun. Can't have shit in the FNDM!

Hakori

an unfortunate turn of events, and an understandable result. I hope nothing too big was ruined for you and you can keep moving forward with enjoying the show.

Wee Lass Reacts

Im really sorry, your comment made me laugh a lot tho, defo please join the discord for all chats you could want (assuming youre 18+)

BGTitan

I actually have a question. What would be the rule as far as telling you who the characters allude to? Like you've said Ruby and Weiss are Red Riding Hood and Snow White. Can we tell you the others, would you want us to wait a bit and let you guess for a few episodes, or can we just tell you? The allusions usually fall into more fun fact and aesthetic than any actual story relevance, but I wanted to ask anyway.

NatMcK7

[Mod] It counts as a spoiler and Mosco would like to figure it out for herself. Thanks for asking.

BGTitan

Follow up question, just to be sure, can we confirm or deny her guesses? Like if Mosco says "oh so this person is based on X" can we answer yes or no (and if we can say no, just not tell her the real answer)? Sorry to bother, I just want to be super clear on the rules cuz some allusions come with fun facts.

Hollyhock

RWBY fans can get very over-excited. Sorry about that. I wish i could make everyone behave themselves 🥲

NatMcK7

No worries, you can confirm her guesses about character allusions IF she's right, that's probably fine.

Rachel Mae

I hope sometime in the future things calm down and folks figure out what is and isn’t ok to say so that Mosco can read the comments again. It’s very unfortunate for everyone that the trust was broken bc both SU and RWBY have been around for so long that there’s a ton of fun facts and fandom inside jokes and memes which aren’t spoilers that can be shared but at least there’s the discord. I fear mods are gonna be working overtime in the youtube comments when the first RWBY reaction gets posted there if there isn’t some kind of disclaimer that Mosco wants to guess the allusions herself bc the allusions aren’t considered story spoilers by some (I don’t agree with that and Mosco should absolutely be given the chance to figure it out herself if that’s what she wants to do but I do understand the perspective since I’ve seen other reactors welcome people telling them the character allusions.)

Someday Sera

I don't blame you, I've largely done the same for anything I have not already watched, it's gotten so bad

Eliteguard99

You people really need to chill the **** out with posting spoilers in the comments.

Caitlin

How do I join the discord server?

NatMcK7

Make sure your patreon is linked to your discord account then you will automatically be added!

Caitlin

Thank you!

Caitlin

will you be reading Digital Circus comments as there can't be spoilers?

NatMcK7

I would assume so for Digital Circus

.

Awe so sorry people a being buttheads. It's a shame because this show is so fun to comment about. I personally only ever speak about things that were already seen or to answer a question (assuming the answer isn't a spoiler). I'm happily supporting your reactions tho! Looking forward to more episodes <3 I love that you have so much to say regarding the episodes, and how observant you are as well.

Zoe Bug

Hi I got my subscription but the videos are still locked could anyone help please?

Lonely Pancake

I reallyyyyy hope you do MLP next and watch all 9 seasons and the main 4 equation girls but I understand if not cause it is a lot but at least watch to season 3 episode 13 cause it is definitely one of the best and EG rainbow rocks is the best movie

Geass

Sorry to hear that. The fake spoilers are so much fun, but I can see how the real ones could give the mods too much work.

Jayy

OOOOHHHHH... I checked the RWBY comments and I was so confused what you were talking about LMAO

Tyrant-Den

There's probably a bunch of other soldier gems who do like fighting out there waging wars too.

Alp

BUT WAIT MOSCO! I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT PINK DIAMOND KILLS DUMBLEDORE!

Eliteguard99

You people just cannot help yourselves when it comes to posting spoilers can you?

PheonixCantra

hate how a few will ruin it for everyone else
