Elijah got me excited for this! Let’s go! Edit: Faunus usually only inherit one trait. They’ll either have tails like Sun, ears like Blake or tusks. It’s a totally random thing. There’s a World of Remnant short that explains it

It would be awesome to see you analyse the songs from each volume after you finish each one. There's a lot in them and they give you some more insight into each of the characters and the plot. Also they are all tunes.

I mean, getting bullied by a nerdy redhead would probably be a selling point to a certain type of person... Take a shot for every time Mosco perfectly predicts plot points despite her constant instance that she's an idiot. Can't wait to see Mosco's reaction when she finds out Cinder is Blake's mother (and has a tail)! "She does like tuna a lot..." and that, my friends, is two-shadowing to the moment when Blake gets bested by a member of the White Fang whose weapon is ... a can opener. Which is also a gun. Good luck with the Truth or Dare Livestream! Your're almost to the $8k milestone already with early dontations. I expect Elijah's desk to be *spotless* when your done! And all the cords neaty organized and labeled!.

So fun fact, each of the Voice Actresses has a certain word or phrase to help them get into character and find the right tone of voice. For Lindsey (Ruby's VA), they would yell Yang's name. For Barb (Yang's VA), she would yell Ruby's name. For Arryn (Blake's VA), she would say "Brothers of the White Fang, why are you aiding this scum?" And, the funniest in my opinion, was Kara (Weiss' VA), who would indignantly say "I'm a victim!" PENNY!!!! My girl!! By the way, just to clarify, the swords came out of a backpack and she controls them with strings. "She does like tuna a lot" was actually an ad-lib by Lindsey. Also, the VA for Sun (Michael Jones) is married to Ruby's VA (Lindsey) and they have two kiddos I believe. If you go back to episode 8, you can actually see Blake's bow twitch when she points up as Ruby is falling. Not asking for a reaction, if that's not how you want to do it, but I'd recommend checking out the soundtrack for each volume after you're done. There's character stuff and foreshadowing in them. OK, confession time: There is a second verse to the end credits song ("Wings"), and the lyrics begin "Twelve hours is a long night / When you're searching with no hope in sight" — which, given the context, suggest to me that the song is being sung by Weiss. But the very first time I listened to the full song, when I got to the lyrics, "I know you can't stand the thought of being stray / One more day" my brain misinterpreted the singer's glottal stops as the letter "t"...which would make the lines "I know you can't stand the thought of being 'straight' / One more date"... I've shipped Weiss with Blake ever since.

Ahah! Now that the Volume is over, let's have some Fun Facts! Since I know you like to rewatch things, here's a couple interesting tidbits. First off, Blake. It becomes quite obvious she has ears under her bow because you can actually see it twitch a few times in the show prior to the finale. Specifically the scene with Ruby falling from the sky in the forest during initiation. Next up is Pyrrha! So she revealed during the episode about Jaune that she has the ability to control magnetism and there is a specific sound effect used when she is using that power. You can hear this as far back as her first appearance when she pins Jaune to a locker with her spear. When she grabs it she doesn't actually grab it but holds her hand out and it jumps into her hand. She does something similar with her shield, you can see it float from her back to her arm on several occasions. And my third set of Fun Facts pertains to the music. This is something I'm seeing other commenters say as well. The music in this show largely tells a story. Mostly it is about the characters so you can very much read into the lyrics if you so wish. In fact my favorite RWBY song ever is Red Like Roses pt. 2 which showcases in the fight between RWBY and the giant Nevermore.

"Blake is a catgirl who my girlfriend is going to leave me for." Well, look at it this way, if Elijah does leave you for Blake, it leaves you free to snatch up Yang! Wins! The White Fang soldiers didn't have obvious traits for a production reason, they're generic minion mobs, but their use was high enough to mean shadow people wouldn't cut it so... copy-and-paste masked mooks. As budget goes up, we'll get better/more differentiation between semi-notable members.

I believe that Yang is Barbra’s first voiceacting role, but she’d been a podcaster for years before that so she knows how to enunciate and keep her voice clear over a mic. And this episode is where it become clear that yes, this show DOES indeed do foreshadowing! To me this is the point in the show where it becomes clear there’s a lot of other things going on in the background of the world as the girls are navigating life at Beacon.

Actually it's both their moms. They met during the festival and despite being from different schools, secretly formed Team MILF. Margaret, Ivy, Lorelei, and Fantine. Sadly the team broke up when Lorelei went dark and assumed the name Cinder.

Yeah that's not a rare occurrence lmao I think like half the reactors I've watched thought she had cat ears and didn't realize it was a bow until either a few episodes in or literally when it's revealed. As for me, I don't really remember.
